The fact they want to monitor so many of us shows us they fear us. They want us to be in fear for our privacy, fear is key here. So remove the fear on our part and monitoring becomes almost useless. What do I mean? Well I personally can't think of a better way to disempower them and their 'secret' mining than to have no internet secrets, the truth might just set us free! Get rid of the fear of tptb knowing I smoke pot and like a bit of class A's from time to time, I believe ALL governments should be overthrown as history shows them to be the single greatest form of terror, and I enjoy watching porn.

Not when a huge chunk of the worlds economy and corporations rely on the internet , no chance of it going down.
Just the usual american CT movement paranoia IMHO.

Govt will continue to do what they do as long as we (on the whole) support govt as it stands, just as business will continue to do what it does so long as we continue to buy their products.
At the end of the day everything is down to the prevailing human paradigm. It'll never change overnight but slowly in tiny steps, both in terms of strengthening or weakening the paradigm.
