As you can gather, this thread is about David Icke books. Which one is your favourite and what did you learn that you hadn't before?

Anyone here read Human Race Get off your knees? What did you think of the moon matrix material?

This is from Mr Ickes website...
David Icke marks his 20th year of uncovering astounding secrets and suppressed information with the publication of his most amazing book yet, Human Race Get off Your Knees.

He takes the manipulation of the human race and the nature of reality to still new levels of understanding and he calls for humanity to rise from its knees and take back the world from the sinister network of families and non-human entities that covertly control us from cradle to grave.

So, anyone want to discuss the elephant in the room with Mr Ickes work, which is the part bolded above?

Not gonna cover any of your parts at present novum but will say that 'The Children of the Matrix' scarred me somewhat with all the nasty stuff but gave me alot to think about in regards to hidden history etc. Have a few more of the older ones but confess to not having got round to doing them justice yet.

Really not interested in the moon matrix crap so won't entertain the books which cover it.

Tbh, I'm just disappointed I spent so much money on the crud as I was getting into him. Having expanded my horizons a bit since, I can confirm that much of his material is from elsewhere.

Nothing against the chap personally, but needless to say, my collection of Icke material has since found its way to the local charity shop. Although I did get some further use from the green one, which was just thick enough to prop open my loft hatch on occasion.

I've no idea if the non-human stuff has any truth to it, but thinking 'universally' ( :chuckle: ) I suppose its perfectly possible. I would say, however, it very much fosters the divide and rule sentiment he himself talks about, in that its not 'us' causing the problems but some interdimensional entity that few of us can see or even be aware of. Bit of a cop-out to me.

Not that I don't believe in alternate dimensions. I just think that the bulk of our problems are our own damn fault, for the most part. Plus, that way of thinking doesn't really foster 'infinite love' much either. I don't hate anyone or thing. Except dolphins, obviously.

Thankyou for the reply sketti.

The moon matrix work is in Human Race Get off your knees apparently, though i havent read it either. But from discussions on the internet it seems that many who did read that work thought it to be quite 'out there' . I also read a few peoples posts and comments on the book over on the forum at David Icke's website davidicke.com , and a there were some mentions that the book was repeating information that had been published in his other books.

If anyone has read the book Human Race Get Off Your Knees, it would be good to hear your opinions and reviews. :)

Some real opinion mixed with a bit of humor, nice one, and thanks for the reply  :)

It is a criticism we hear, that he obtains information from other sources, but i am not so sure i hold that against him to be honest. The thing is, collating work that is scattered all over the place elsewhere, is work in itself i think. In some ways it is beneficial for those interested in some of these topics, that David Icke does put all of this information together in one place

I think you have articulated what a good number of people feel about this 'elephant in the room' (reptilians), quite well here.

I am one of those ones who thinks the reptilians are real, I am not sure about this moon stuff though. What Ive heard about the book is that the moon is an alien base and where our programming comes from...just doesnt make sense to me especially since the moon is associated with many spiritual concepts like when to plant crops and full moons expanding ley lines. Is all this stuff supposed to be controlled by aliens??

I'm with you, Abs. :) All Icke is doing is rehashing all the old stuff - written many times over and better by others who LIVED what they wrote - not went with what others told them or psychics said. And novum: I very much disagree: other writers put it ALL very clearly in one place. Try William Walker Atkinson, for one (you have to excuse the rather archaic language at times, but he wrote it in another age :D ):

www.psitek.net/pages/PsiTek-mind-power-Contents.html

Icke is bringing back the belief (and therefore fear) in Strange Beings that seek to control (possess) us. The Blame Game - it's not poor little old us, it's them - the monsters, the baddies, the rich, governments, etc.

No. It's US. We are the Masters Of Our Chains, bound wrists and ankles by Fear, Ignorance, Apathy and sheer Laziness. Even when we know what is going on, we let them run because doing something about it costs us EFFORT. And Coronation Street is about to start... so, we'll "think about that tomorrow". :D

And so we get what we deserve. Our Sin is that we allow our children to go forward into the same mess.

I only read I AM Me, I Am Free (after I'd drawn some knickers on Icke to stop the children tittering on the other side of the room) and it was lightweight pap - bits picked from here and there with lots of He Said/She Said and much New Age Love-'Em-To-Bits trot.

Your life is like a big, fiesty thoroughbred - if you don't pick up the reins and ride it forward how and where you want, it will go whither it pleases, drop you when it likes, or have its power snaffled by others.

I suggest that if you're going to read books that educate, instruct, guide and advise... you make it not Icke's.

:D

And practice, practice, practice until you make it something fabulous.

I, too, joined the Official David Icke Forum having never read a single one of David Icke's books. It was merely on the back of all the various video clips and presentations that I found through Google.com searches on YouTube. That led me to his forum. After a LOT of browsing and reading I felt that the DIF was the best of its kind, at that time, so I joined up and jumped into the discussions!! I've still yet to read my first David Icke book, but I think I've got a pretty good idea of where he's coming from regardless.

I enjoy Icke's books and have learned quite a bit from them. I do not believe he is copying others, but what I especially appreciated was how he presented other researchers and references all of his sources. And if it weren't for his material and witness testimonials, I would have no clue about mind control and MKUltra stuff that I have been researching since then.

I haven't read Human race get off your knees yet. His other books were interesting. There were points I agreed with, and points I didn't. The portions on the banking systems, ancient family bloodlines having influence on the world today, and MK-Ultra I do agree with. I understand that others have covered that material before, and he does source it. I'll give him that. I don't agree with the Moon maxtrix material. It seems like a mix of star wars and They live. Some would argue that the writers and directors attained their inspiration from reality, as Icke does. There are some anomalous things going on with the Moon, but I don't think there is any irrefutable indication that it's a giant spaceship. I'd also like to think that beings capable of great technical feats would have better things to do than warp the sense of reality for a developing species. It's a big universe, and there's lots to see, learn, and do.

It seems that man is always finding some sort of scapegoat to displace his/her less desirable qualities on some non-present entity. Countless cults, religions, and political regimes have done it. It's like some sort of collective coping mechanism designed to protect mass ego. Even if there were non human entities controlling various facets of the human micro-reality, it wouldn't be effective rule if people were willing to take personal responsibility for their thoughts and actions. A collective of intellectually responsible minds is more powerful than any subversive or tyrannical act.
Form is merely a momentary manifestation of being, not a fixed reality.

^ Yeah, quite repetitive. Interesting stuff but at times
it tends to get a little ranty/waffly

I've read two, and bits and pieces of others. The ones I owned,
I passed them on. Wonder where they are now...

I read The Biggest Secret and the Alice one as ebooks on me phone. There was some pretty good info in them along with some rather tenuous stuff. I wasn't inspired to hand over any hard earned for an actual book. I would read another ebook though if we weren't living in an age where that sort of thing may get one incarcerated.....

Personally I dont really like Ickes writing style, and there is indeed a lot of repitition (and the comment above about if youve read one book youve read them all, is quite true). After reading 'get off your knees' the only things that made me sit up were the bits about the moon, and some stuff about reptillians and 'forbidden archelogy'. So I think there are a lot of fillers to make the book nice and thick (maybe under the pretense of repeating info for 'greater clarity'), but i agree with Mountain that he references the material which he takes from other books, and all the esoteric info has been recycled many times in various forms and no one really can claim ownership of it. Icke is a bit like Tony Robbins ie just spends lots of time reading and studying, then brings relevant bits together to form what he thinks is the most comprehensive picture. I still await a proper explanaition to the claim that he plagerizes material, maybe im being thick but I honestly dont understand that bit. But yes, as Mountain says, were it not for reading his books, I wouldnt have got interested in many other topics.
