@Dub I think you're on the money I remember the story taking shape along those very lines. The police force is institutionally corrupt as are the courts and political systems they serve.

@Iaaia That's pretty much how I see CV's rather odd BBC debut. He obviously got a taste for conspiracy and lying on camera that day, the rest as they say is history.

The thing is, CV is definitely describing what takes place with Ian Tomlinson when he states, "the only rea­son this gen­tle­man col­lapsed is because the police ran for­ward maybe twenty metres at a time, and then he ran off as well.and I saw him col­lapse and smash his head and then he was lying there with his eyes wide open". This piece IS part of the video and yet the description CV gave IS NOT what takes place on the video.

Both the video footage and CV describe the same moment, yet they are not identical descriptions. Which one is lying ?

From CV's constantly eying the camera, he definitely appears to enjoy being in front of it. Why he decided to lie is anyone's guess.

Tbf, and iirc, the police were pushing the lines forward to clear the pathway we see behind them in the incriminating vid, but by no stretch of the imagination were they running.
