I watched this quite a few times when I was going through the police academy in Goulburn, NSW. It's a good doco with some very interesting parts on serial killers (including the interview with the guy in jail that reads for recordings for the deaf).

Actually, one statistic that I remember from it was that back at the time it was made, a copper died every two days in the USA. :fraid:

Yeah and its even got a date of when America started going to Shit 22 november 1963 :O

Hi Black Cloud,

A good topic for another thread! Briefly, I've heard non-Americans say they regard that day as a coup. At first I thought they were silly - a coup!

But, as usual, their thoughts haunted me - be they right or wrong. My jury is still out but I now consider the opinion worthy.

Hello I am All,

I must express my confusion.

First, I must make clear that I AM NOT ARGUING, just confused.

My grand mother had lung cancer and had surgery to remove the lower left quarter of her lung followed by radiation treatment in '73. She never really got better. She coughed often and caught every bug that came along. Her hair remained thin and her surgery area remained dry and itchy, Her fingernails never grew long and thick again. Her hair grayed quickly. She died in February 1990 at 62 but looked much older.

I've known two people who were diagnosed with cancer and died within a few month (less than three or four).

I am ashamed for the way I feel. I DO value life, but yet, I feel grateful their suffering was brief.

It's an ethical conundrum.

I DO value life. I don't want to be viewed as a .....I don't know......random 'plug puller' for the sake of it.

A dear friend's elderly father was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and had surgery and chemo, and he didn't last two months.

I personally know a lady who has very recently fought lymphatic cancer and is just now regaining her feet. Time will tell. She is in her late 20's.

I knew an elderly gent with throat cancer and is doing well today. His wife suffered breast cancer two years later and never got well after treatment. I remember seeing the dear lady, she looked so tired and was never herself again, while her husband bounced back.

It's very confusing, and I AM NOT MAKING ARGUMENT, please understand, just.....confused.

I loved a man like a brother, three of them in fact. All gone in three years.

The most recent I found out just an hour ago. Massive heart attack again. All three in their 50's. All barrel chested men.

Dammit, just take 2000 milligrams (2 grams) Vitamin C and 2000 milligrams (2 grams) of Lysine in the morning and the same in the evening for a minimum of two months and I promise you will breathe better and walker farther and physically labor easier. The benefit you realize will make you wish to continue that simple regime alone.

I am your guinea pig. I have done this myself. I can testify. I am testifying.

Take 3000 - 4000 milligrams of krill daily. It's easy, I swear. It will lower the bad cholesterol. Please men and ladies (men, mostly), please. Hell, throw in some calamarine (squid oil). Don't listen to me, research it for yourself.

I loved those dear men like brothers, irreplaceable friends, and they are gone. I can't believe it. They were in their 50's.

I've got to send more damn flowers to another memorial to men in their 50's.

The bear is I can't attend the memorial. None of them.

I'm sickened and saddened and sickened.

If it ain't drugs (present or past use) or motorcycle wrecks, it's heart attacks killing em off in their 50's and 60's.

Healing Cancer From Inside Out is a great documentary to comprehend information regarding cancer. It's in the OP.

A basic comprehension of the physicality is that the immune system deals with everything on a daily basis, this includes cancer. Everyone has cancerous cells in their body. The problem arises when the immune system is compromised. Either it has been run down, is under too much stress and has to deal with too much or is compromised through various factors, of which chemotherapy and radiation treatment are known factors.

A healthy immune system means that the physicality will be able to deal with cancerous cells without compromising the rest of the physical system. There are obvious ways in which the immune system is compromised, from a poor diet to irradiating the physicality. The real issue with the 'cancer industry' is exactly that, it's an industry and therefore there is profit involved.

For instance, here in Australia, there is a law against human use of Cansema, commonly called Black Salve. One Answer To Cancer is a documentary in the OP about this. The thing is though, you are allowed to buy it for use on your pets. I've met people that have used cancema and it cured their cancer, from skin cancer to breast cancer ... yet it is illegal to buy it for human use. Go figure huh.

Here's one of a number of youtube video clips people have made after their experience of curing the cancer they had ...

... yet it remains illegal for human use.

I've had family die from cancer, yet they could have been cured if they knew about this, or any of the other cancer cures, of which there are around 16 or so. My father gets skin cancers, yet is unwilling to use alternative treatments and sticks with having them burnt off. Some people won't listen, aren't interested, or are simply not willing to recognise the truth ... that the cancer industry doesn't want a cure, it wants your money.

How can anyone take seriously the medical mafia that pushes radiation as a treatment for cancer when it is KNOWN that radiation is a cause of cancer ?

Chemotherapy is carcinogenic.

These things are KNOWN. There's actually no debate about it, it's accepted as fact. Yet people fork out large sums of money to be poisoned by the medical mafia and cures are suppressed or made illegal.

As usual, follow the money trail.

Sex, Lies and Julian Assange

He had just humiliated the most powerful nation in the world, heading one of the most controversial cyber-operations in history. So when Julian Assange arrived in Sweden in August 2010 he was greeted like a conquering hero. But within weeks there was a warrant out for his arrest and he was being investigated for rape and sexual molestation. However, as the details of the allegations against Assange emerged, suspicions arose over the legal barrage being aimed at him. Exploring the mysterious circumstances surrounding the case, this doc gets to the heart of a bizarre tale of international cat and mouse.

“Sitting outdoors with the world’s coolest, smartest people! It’s amazing!”, Anna Ardin tweeted, as she sat at a barbecue she had arranged for Assange. Yet according to the allegations she would later bring against him he had recently sexually abused her. “You wouldn’t send such messages if you had been raped by someone the night before”, argues Assange’s lawyer. Both Assange and his supporters believe the attempt to force his return to Sweden is simply the first step in a plan to see him extradited to the United States and that the case against him is a set up.

It’s clear that when Assange arrived in Sweden Anna Ardin & Sofia Wilen were both enthralled by the Wikileaks phenomena and he slept with both women over a period of weeks. The charges originated with a misunderstanding in a Stockholm police station that “some sort of sex crime had been committed”. Wilen refused to sign what had been taken down. Assange was interviewed but not charged with any offense. But 12 days after being given permission to leave the country, the case was re-opened and the Swedes issued a warrant for his arrest.

At this point Assange was at the height of his powers and three weeks later he delivered a massive hit against America: the Iraq War Logs. An outraged US labeled him a “traitor” and were overcome with calls to “shoot the son-of-a-bitch”. Shortly afterwards Sweden issued an Interpol Red Notice for his arrest; a highly unusual move. “Red Notices are normally the preserve of terrorists and dictators. Even Gaddafi was not subject to a Red Notice.”

After 500 days of fighting extradition from the UK to Sweden, Assange made his dramatic dash to the Ecuadorian embassy. In an interview from inside, Assange claims he had sensed the net tightening around him when, “the Swedish government publicly announced that it would detain me without charge in severe conditions. On the same evening security contractors turned up unannounced at 10:30pm and insisted on fitting another manacle to my leg”.

Following the complex twists and turns of the entire saga, this documentary charts a case far more complex than the Swedes seem to be admitting to. When pressed about the strange manner in which the charges were brought the answer is baffling: “I can very well understand the confusion, it is very difficult to understand, well, exactly how it works.” And as Assange’s US lawyer points out, he should be worried. “I’d be very nervous, because if the United States get their hands on you, you’re a goner.”

Puts things into perspective so to speak and makes me realise that if the day should ever arrive when those with opposing views need to be erradicated... then we are are all truley screwed because basically, we've made it all to easy for them.

G'day Psketti.

When I was teenager back in the '80's, a mates mum told us something that she wasn't supposed to even discuss with anyone. She worked at Westmead hospital and had been brought in with a lot of others working there to do some data entry work. It was for the medicare card. She told us that we would be VERY surprise what information had been collected on everyone and was on file through the medicare card. Even back in the '80's electronic transactions were being monitored (credit card transactions, etc) and this was a small part of the information being put on file through the medicare card..

To put it into perspective, there was talk of bringing in an identity card in Australia. Of course this caused a big stink, basically Australians said no fucking way, so instead, the medical system got an overhaul and the mdicare system was introduced.

We've been screwed on this issue for a long, long time.

Thanks for the post by the way. Downloading now and will have a look at it.

Hope2604 - Steve Rambam Pt 1 – Privacy Is Dead – Get Over It

Hope2604 - Steve Rambam Pt 1 – Privacy Is Dead – Get Over It In 2006, privacy expert Steven Rambam’s two hour panel was disrupted by federal authorities who arrested him at the conference just prior to its commencement. In the end, he was completely vindicated and went on to finally give his talk several months later to a packed house at a local university. This year, Steven will be on for three hours, in part to make up for what you may have missed last time, but mostly because what he says about the state of privacy in our society will captivate you. Since 1980, Pallorium's investigators have successfully closed more than 9,500 cases, ranging from homicide investigations to missing persons cases to the investigation of various types of sophisticated financial and insurance frauds. Steven Rambam has coordinated investigations in more than fifty (50) countries, and in nearly every U.S. State and Canadian province. Steven specializes in international and multi-jurisdictional investigations, and within the past few years he has conducted investigations in Israel, South Africa, Holland, France, England, India, Mexico, Guatemala, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Germany, Abu Dhabi, China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Jordan, Vietnam and Brazil, among other locations. I have updated our media zone entry which Marina had added for this video in two parts. It's now listed in one part using the youtube link provided by IAAIA above. I have also added some additional information related to the subject from Wikileaks The Spyfiles.

Mass interception of entire populations is not only a reality, it is a secret new industry spanning 25 countries

It sounds like something out of Hollywood, but as of today, mass interception systems, built by Western intelligence contractors, including for ’political opponents’ are a reality. Today WikiLeaks began releasing a database of hundreds of documents from as many as 160 intelligence contractors in the mass surveillance industry. Working with Bugged Planet and Privacy International, as well as media organizations form six countries – ARD in Germany, The Bureau of Investigative Journalism in the UK, The Hindu in India, L’Espresso in Italy, OWNI in France and the Washington Post in the U.S. Wikileaks is shining a light on this secret industry that has boomed since September 11, 2001 and is worth billions of dollars per year. WikiLeaks has released 287 documents today, but the Spy Files project is ongoing and further information will be released this week and into next year.

G'day Frog.

Thanks mate, you're the computer whizz, I appreciate it. I can just see you sitting there in front of the computer sorting it all out for us technically challenged ones ... sort of like this ...

I enjoy personal stories and here are too very different documentaries like that which both moved me to tears I am not ashamed to say.

Body Of War
The story of a young man who enlisted in the army after 9/11 who comes home in a wheelchair.

Being Elmo
The story of one young man with a dream. (that sounds corny I know but that really is the best way to describe it)

I urge you all to watch these both.
come at the king....you best not miss

G'day I-baster.

Thanks for posting those documentaries.

Here's a bit of info about them for those interested ...

Body Of War

Body of War, a film by Ellen Spiro and Phil Donahue, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to several standing ovations and acclaim. It won Best Documentary from the prestigious National Board of Review and was nominated for Best Documentary from Producer's Guild of America. Body of War was short-listed for an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary and was released theatrically through Landmark Theatres. Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro were featured in a special on Bill Moyers www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/03212008/watch2.html, as well as appearing on all the major networks and publications.

Body of War is an intimate and transformational feature documentary about the true face of war today. Meet Tomas Young, 25 years old, paralyzed from a bullet to his spine - wounded after serving in Iraq for less than a week.

Body of War is Tomas' coming home story as he evolves into a new person, coming to terms with his disability and finding his own unique and passionate voice against the war. The film is produced and directed by Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro, and features two original songs by Eddie Vedder. Body of War is a naked and honest portrayal of what it's like inside the body, heart and soul of this extraordinary and heroic young man.

Body of War unfolds on two parallel tracks. On the one hand, we see Tomas evolving into a powerful voice against the war as he struggles to deal with the complexities of a paralyzed body. And on the other, we see the historic debate unfolding in the Congress about going to war in Iraq.

Being Elmo

Beloved by children of all ages around the world, Elmo is an international icon. Few people know his creator, Kevin Clash, who dreamed of working with his idol, master puppeteer Jim Henson. Displaying his creativity and talent at a young age, Kevin ultimately found a home on Sesame Street. Narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, this documentary includes rare archival footage, interviews with Frank Oz, Rosie O’Donnell, Cheryl Henson, Joan Ganz Cooney and others and offers a behind-the-scenes look at Sesame Street and the Jim Henson Workshop.
