They're also there because they need bank borrowing to bring the money into the system as I explained in a separate thread recently

It won't necessarily lead to a massive economic crash unless the investment was private and done stupidly (ie build it and they will come attitude).

If its the govt who have made orders and paid off the contractors then there's not going to be the same issue there as with say Ireland for example that built shitloads of stupidly priced houses and somehow expected shitloads of people to buy them.
In any country despite having quite a large percentage of morons you eventually run out of morons and Irelands quite small
