They have many advantages over normal books; you can plug them in and recharge them, carry 1,000's of books at once (this'll come into it's own when we can read more than one at a time) and of course once you are in direct sunlight they mock your attempts to read and make you really chill out by having not even a bit of reading to do; drop it, break it or have it stolen and have the thrill of recovering your entire book collection over the next years to look forward to.

On the downside they are a shit fly swat.

I can understand the attraction but I prefer having a book to fold and squish into a comfortable shape.

You can't start a fire with a kindle.
