oday, electronic touch pads are widely found on laptops, tablets, and other computing devices. Less common uses, but gaining in popularity, are book covers and food labels. These and other low-tech applications become possible as touch pads become extremely inexpensive, with applications ranging from beer bottle labels to disposable medical device labels. Now a team of researchers from the US and France have developed paper-based electronic touch pads that cost just 25 cents per square meter, a price at which touch pads can simply be thrown away when no longer needed.

Disposable paper touchpads

Yay more things to needlessly end up in a landfill...

You folks read that correctly. I think it's really just another form of digital tracking. Gillette got in a trouble a few years ago with similar tech installed in their boxes of razors.

That's the only thing I could think it could possibly be used for.

I remember the Gillette controversy. I saw those tracker things at Wal Mart.

It will probably be sold to businesses and the public alike as an inventory control measure.

Be sure to burn the computers that were hip 10 posts ago, and allow others who aren't as hip to breath in those toxic fumes. Slash down a section of old growth forest, and punch a dolphin in the mouth for good measure as well. After all, everyone knows that excess and abuse of nature are the actions of a consciously aware species.

Dolphins have always struck me as being rather smug. Plus, whenever I have the misfortune of bumping into one they seem to be laughing at me.

If any creature deserved punching in the mouth, it has to be the dolphin.

Not laughing now, are ya? You spam-headed bitch...

In fact, I'm going to sketch a dolphin (rather hastily) on a piece of paper (new and unused, of course) and then slap about nine different shades of BITCH out that motherfucker!!! Then, I'll do the crumple & toss, just like Paris Hilton does with her lunchtime panties....

*inferring that Ms. Hilton goes through several pairs of panties per day, just because she can.... rich bitch.... she needs a slap too!!!*
