What'o. :)

I'll be moving house soon and will be changing my ISP from Virgin (boo!) to someone not called Virgin.

Was thinking of switching to PlusNet and wanted to know if any peeps here use them. O2 is another possibility but you seem to get the good deals if you have an O2 mobile as well.

I would love to know what your service provider is like.

There's no point in me offering mine up as I recall my connection speed is the slowest on here. Slowest in the whole of the UK possibly :coffee:

The prices look good for both and I've emailed them to see if I can get their service in my new gaff. I don't have the new phone number but I'm hoping that the post code will help.
I was hoping to get it up and running for when i move in rather than have to wait a few weeks once I'm in there.

Heh, with the UK now having fibre to the cabinet rollout its deffo worth getting the phone number to be sure of what you can have.
Fibre is like a gazillion times better than dsl.
Even if you don't use the bandwidth you'll notice MASSIVE latency improvement and consistency, low packet loss.
So streaming stuff becomes a breeze, in fact, having multiple streams in the same house to several devices is possible without issue.

Even with the best DSL at say around 12mb you'll be lucky to manage more than 1 stream.

I've never seen a house fibre install but basically business fibre has 2 separate fibre connections, one for upload the other for download and they're both 10mbit or more. Once setup the damn thing just never goes wrong.
Just another of those things that should've been done donkeys years ago :)
