Can it be sorted so that they are automatically ranked according to number of topics hence the most popular forums are always at the top?

Hi oioioioioioi,

If you mean can the forum categories dynamically change position based on content or hits no that's not a sort method which is available.

The order of the categories is manual. It's not my department Novum is the forum boss so best get on his case if you would like them changed. I will go 'n put the kettle on before he makes his entrance in an attempt to sweeten him up for you and also avoid a beating.

Cheers frog, it's not that I want them changed per se, I just thought it would make sense as an easier way for regs to get around whilst bumping the stuff that interests us most up top for any passing traffic to see.

I'm sure he will be open to the idea and now there is plenty of content it will be easier to see what areas receive the most attention.

The category order is fixed, has to be changed manually.

There is no way for them to auto arrange themselves.

Plus from the looks of things, the top 6 categories in the main forums are the busiest, they have the most topics and replies, and even though they arent in exact order of busiest down, i dont see the point of moving them around really, especially when the stats can change, and they would have to be manually moved again.

The 'Recent' tab is probably the best way to see which threads are busy, the topic/thread results there are arranged in order of latest reply first.

Then theres always the scrollbar :P
