Okay. I can't use imageshack on my PS3, so I use google images. I type for instance Debbie Harry. The I click "full size image" and copy the address of that page.
The insert image icon on these forums doesn't seem to work on my PS3 either, so I manually type [ img size=300 ]paste the address then type[ /img ] without the spaces after and before [] obviously.

You can change the size number value as well.

I think this is a PS3 issue with the java script. When you click on the insert image button do you see two input fields? one for size and one for the url which is preponderated with https:// for the image above I deleted the https:// and the pasted the complete link from imageshack into the field, and the bbc inserted is correct.

If you click on the preview icon to the right just left of the help icon you should see the full uri of the image with only one https:// prefix with no size data shown.

EDIT:

That's an Imageshack issue the image isn't being linked the syntax is correct and you need to make sure the trailing / is removed from the uri regardless it fails. The second image works and will show in the preview panel.

Hmmm, I'm a bit lost, where's the help icon?

Before the PC broke, I used to use imageshack to upload pics, and copy and paste the forum code. The PS3 won't let me upload, I click "upload" and nothing happens. So I use the google method.
I manually type [img size=300, etc. because when I click the icon, nothing seems to happen.
I don't mind the manual method, it works for me

Right found the preview icon.

I'm going to try to use the insert image icon again.

No it just disappears after I click "insert".

Success! After I click "insert" I have to press the O button on my pad for it to register in the window Quirky little shit this PS3!

I have left it large intentionally for testing.

The bit where it says size and URL is only visible after clicking the insert image icon. it will disappear after the insert has been pressed.
