I'll start collecting up my fluoride info and start the thread, looks like someone has already posted a very good documentary under the Medical Establishment tab. I'll include some info about water as well.
Just discussing the negative effect of so called, perfect tap water, on plants, over in the vegetable thread. It would be interesting to see a chemical breakdown of the constituents of tap water if you have something.

It's a good question for everybody. I'll be including information about the whole subject of water when I start the fluorine/fluoride thread, but for the meantime in answer to your question I would say this; Tap water can differ greatly from area to area, and country to country.
The question needed here is what is processed and produced within 20 miles of where we live? For example, phosphoric acid is used in soft drinks like the deadly coca cola, as a food additive in general (E338), by dentists, in some travel sickness medicines and an endless list of other things. What's important about phosphoric acid? Hydrofluoric acid. Hydrofluoric acid is a solution of hydrogen fluoride in water. HF is a bi-product of producing phosphoric acid. And guess what? Even if a government of a country says "no, no, no we don't fluoridate our water supplies", fine maybe they don't, but you can bet your sweet ass that they allow companies to dump their HF into any lake, stream or river they choose. And the end result is you have a highly dangerous toxin ending up coming out of your tap. (and possibly some unhappy looking fruit and veg).
Governments will obviously try to cover up these horrid little bite them in the ass type facts. So, to finally answer your question, without spending god knows how much on getting the water tested at a professional lab, I would start by finding out what factories and industrial activities are based in your local area. Do an Erin Brockovich and start poking your nose in where it's not wanted.
