Barf alert:

Quote:
Britain may be a small island, but I would challenge anyone to find a country with a prouder history, a bigger heart or greater resilience.
:barfonu:

"big heart" what is this fucking Disney channel?
"Britain is an island that has helped to clear the European continent of fascism and was resolute in doing that throughout the second world war. Britain is an island that helped to abolish slavery, that has invented most of the things worth inventing, including every sport currently played around the world, that still today is responsible for art, literature and music that delights the entire world.

Did he just tell Russia about fighting Fascists in Europe in ww2 ffs?

British prime minister mounts patriotic defence after reports that Vladimir Putin's spokesman said no one listened to the UK

Another meaningless bloody slogan totally and utterly lacking in substance in an attempt to grab a couple of headlines.

meanwhile...
today is "National Remembrance Day" for "all those who have died at the hands of Atos, the DWP and the Coalition government"

At least 11 major towns and cities will tonight be holding a candlelit vigil at 8.p.m.

I wonder if Dave will tell the G20 that.

How big was the heart, Dave? :hmm:

I didn't know about that, where is this linked?

Was he ridiculously puffed up with pride, like a turkey? :teef:

I was tickled to see he had his sulky face on yesterday.

Good thread title, Mikey. :pmsl:

*Edit* Oh. My. God! Just watched the vid clip of this speech. He's trying to make us a laughing stock. He's bragged that we brought the world One Direction. :uk: :cheer:  What an insufferable cock-sucker he truly is.

Oh, and lets not forget David how we are known as a warring nation....if we've not been fighting/invading/taking democracy ( :O ) to other countries we've always managed a skirmish or two on our own shores!

I thought the second world war was about the western bankers and industrialists with the help of European royalty and the church supporting and funding Hitler and other fascists to take on Russia and communism but when they realised Hitler was out of control Britain and others used poor people to stop him?

Does he talk about what happened to the Banks, industrialists,Royals, churches and arms manufactures that supported fascism?

Did Britain resolutely clear Europe of those bunch?

I can't listen to his childish mutterings.

Whats Cameron's latest catch phrase they've given him by the way?

All you need to know about any war is who made money out of it and who died.

I hate to focus on the trivial here, but...
[Britain has invented] every sport currently played around the world
...this is so patently, emphatically untrue. Is it April Fools' Day?

Yes, quite easily! Remember that big sporting event in Britain last year? I think it was called the 'Olympics'? Was athletics invented in Britain, or perhaps not? Were the Olympics first held in Britain, or perhaps not?

Amusing as he is...the United States "culture" is different to Scottish heritage.

I am content that our heritage is one of the oldest in Europe. I shouldn't ignore history.

No, I listened and watched him. Great show but really doesn't equate the fact the United States doesn't really have a culture, where as Scotland and most of Europe does.

No, he talked about nationalism in general and in particular giving yourself credit for other people's deeds and bragging about them

You watched it and listened? I'm surprised you didn't choke on your own tongue.
