When I was 13, I had a mate who was mad on LFC, and she persuaded me to go to some new supermarket in Chorley with her, because Emlyn Hughes was the celeb appearing at its opening. He came talking to us, and she went all teary and overwhelmed, and he was really lapping it up letching at her, inappropriately. I was quite disgusted by both of them.

You're absolutely right, good old wiki.
Bananaman is a British comic book fictional character. He originally appeared in Nutty as the backpage strip in Issue 1, dated 16 February 1980 drawn by John Geering. He has since appeared in The Dandy and The Beano.
