I had a glance at the political manipulations dection and they're actually really in full swing aren't they? Except I've never seen Merlincove/Sheba or whatever it is now get involved before. Mods were turning up a lot on race type threads a while ago. It's almost like theyre trying to be all look! the mods don't agree with thes stuff! .

Damn. I wonder if there's a way to get Dusthead to come over here. He didn't seem to be around for ages so may well not even know all the stuff that's happened.

This name changing thing is very suss.

It started with cathar and ES and ecevn when they acknowledged who they had been, we were told not to talk about it by mods.

Now a bunch of mods have been allowed to do this

Are people just expected to doublethink this out of their memories?

This is something that will forever intrigue me about ickes tbh I too had many conversations with mods in pm about the racists, nazis, homophobes and anti semites - and was constantly told that the mod I was talking too was fed up and didnt like it but they were unable to do anything about the way in which rules were made or enforced - that mods had no say in such matters - if mods are unable to moderate in accordance with the forums rules - that must be being enforced by those with more power then mods - which leads us once again back to sean.

It might be a combination of Look Mrs, I'm just trying to do my job...I don't make the rules here...oooh is that the time? I really must be getting on... and the 'inner circle' vs the bobby on the beat mods. I think Mikey is right that I_am_an_asshole is very much playing the same banjo as Sean. And post lobotomy (AKA ex sheep) I suspect plays a role. I doubt it's all sean.
