Are you aware these events do not start out as riots, more as public demonstrations against the fact nobody you mention will listen, how much success have you had meeting with an MP, what solicitor is going to give you the time of day without an upfront cash payment?

People don't take to the streets to get savaged by police for fun, they do it because all other methods have been worn out or are utterly futile, the state (in this case Spain but all over the world) confirms to us all it has no intention of listening, of changing, it has no compassion or respect for the people it (is supposed to) exist for, it will tell you how and when to speak, and make no qualms about shutting you up if it don't like what you say, police are deployed to ensure (by violence) that nobody important will have to listen to our demands.
The mean­ings that are the most directly prac­ti­cal are the ones that are sac­ri­ficed: the fla­vor, aroma and touch are abol­ished to the profit of the delu­sions that per­ma­nently lead sight and hear­ing astray.

RE around the 2minute mark, why do you think when a group of perhaps a few hundred surround a group of 20 police the larger group seem intimidated and submissive, voluntarily shying away from a confrontation?

Another perspective from Madrid yesterday, this time from a journalist right in the thick of it.

I´m a journalist from Vienna and this video is the reason why I am doing my job. This 8:49 minutes are absolutly horrible, all the "riot police" with there own riots. Shootings all over the place, and at a train station? Damn, thats like a war! They cause panic and fear!

If the police is bringing violence and anger to the people, what did they thought they will get back?

Thanks to all the people on the streets in spain yesterday.

It's hard to make out what's going on, with the poor lighting and so on, but I've yet to see any justification for the police brutalising anyone with their sticks, let alone shooting at people. It's sickening. Even if I was going there to peacefully demonstrate, I'd want a crash helmet on to protect against the uniformed thugs.

Maybe if we understood the language, we might glean why they invaded the railway station, but as it stands, I just don't know why they did that.

I expect non-uniformed officers or CCTV operatives spotted some people wearing black jackets "looking suspicious" or something and followed them into the train station alerting the riot pigs.

All that CCTV is being put to it's intended use at last.
