I thought that too but the retail industry are massive fans. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more and more being implemented. For me they are totally immoral.

i live in bangkok, and they have only stopped because today is the kings birthday so its a day of respect, peace and calm for him.... it will be a different story tomorrow - police and protestors will both be at it again...

Clashes broke out between police and left-wing protesters in the Hamburg suburb of Altona on Saturday. Thousands of protesters fought with police, who attempted to block roads and prevent the demonstrators from getting past.

Bricks, bottles and petrol bombs were launched at police, who responded with water cannon.

The situation is expected to get more violent as the day progresses.

The protesters are demonstrating against the possible eviction of the Rote Flora squat, and are calling for the protection of public space and refugee rights. About 4,000 police have been deployed throughout Hamburg.

I've heard some St Puali/antifa have A-Teamed a water cannon type vehicle to protect protestors from police violence. Hoping this is true!
