In fact I was lambasted for being a Dimwiit who thinks Plod can change owt. Which isn't what I was pushing for. I was hoping to either force their hand or expose another aspect of how Plod are the enforcers of the state...

Things like this are imo why nothing happens...

I got what you were saying then and still do but...the fact remains that taking a position of not doing anything because others may not be is flawed. Nearly everyone thinks like that so no-one does anything. Only a few of us are prepared to stick our heads above the parapet in such a way.
This is what i am getting at. This imo is why we will remain screwed. We are too frightened or whatever to take the necessary action collectively. I don't mean szers, I mean the general populace.

Flawed it may be, but it's self-preservation. Numbers would make all the difference re effectiveness, imo. There must be a tipping-point, surely. There are too many outrageous injustices going on these days for everyone to just keep taking it on the chin.

Personally, I'd rather get taken out with a blow from a truncheon to the cranium, fighting for what I believe in, than set up & stuffed in a prison or mental asylum for voicing dissent. That's what I fear would happen - the latter. They can't stitch 100, 1,000, 1,000 000 people up so easily as they can 1 or 2.

Maybe when my kids are independent I'll feel less vulnerable about taking a stand without back-up.

It does highlight another stumbling block in the path of us 'rising up' though no? That being that we have families to protect and provide for, lives to lead as best we can etc...
Any attempt at overthrowing the puppet masters is not without risk. Especially if you are isolated.

Indeed, we go back to the same point about numbers. Numbers who are prepared to act positively rather than destructively.

Smashing and burning may be a great vent in the moment but will only make things worse. I still contend that large numbers using the system against itself will go one of two ways...

Certainly. They couldn't use the same tactics on a large group. No doubt there'd be sabateurs thrust in on it to try to make it descend into a violent scuffle. If the numbers are there & on the same page, those bastards could be put under citizens arrest too.

One guy does it, nothing will happen. 10,000 do it, that's too many to hush up and Poo Poo. this is the same argument as that old boy who wanted us to report the treasonous acts of those that signed us up to the eu. he didn't succeed ofc, few rose to the challenge...

You can both not comply and comply simultaneously. It is after all incumbent on decent citizens to report criminality to the Plod.
