Max is not qute right in the 2nd clip.
The money is not free, it comes with interest which is quite different from the standard treasury fiat of the past which was quite literally free.
In that instance the govt taxed people to reduce inflation when necessary NOT to provide services.
The govt of today owes debt at interest to central banks so needs to tax over and above what it borrows to pay it back without going bust.
So lets get things clear here, the 'they' mentioned on the video is not the govt, its the bankers who control and print money NOT the govt treasury. Max ought to be pulled up about that

Its also worth bearing in mind that the gov printing money out of thin air via treasury fiat at 0% interest is not necessarily a bad thing provided that the govt is responsible about it, its this outsourcing of responsibility to central banks that has caused this mess in the first place, the govt outsourced their responsibility and most important role they have in serving the people.
All the countries around the world have followed this same model and it is f*cking stupid, its NOT libertarian, its NOT free market and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! :p
