Ok, I hope people can see why I posted this thread in this section.......


An opportunity for anyone that has experience with this plant to share their thoughts.


I had a very intense few months when I first came across it, as did many of the people I mix with. Personally, I found the plant to be rather friendly and suffered none of the panicky shizzle that many seem to get. I'm not sure if I learnt anything from my brief affair, it posed more questions than it gave answers to for sure.

It did seem to rather add it's weight to previous experiences that shed some light on the nature of the bits between the bits though. What Haramein calls the vacuum and others give their own names to. I think it'd be fair to say that the plant did give me more confirmation that the notion of a holographic universe which is projecting from the vacuum is quite likely to be the case.

So anyone?

I did it try it back when I first bought it but just once. I didn't take alot, about 3 small pipes worth which is nothing really. I have two very clear memorys from that evening the first being the feeling of falling upwards. I don't know how else to describe this, as that's exactly how it felt. I was sitting on my living room chair, head back, eyes closed and I had the very strong sensation of falling... but up the way. Confused? ... well I was too and still am when I think about it.

The second thing was even odder in retrospect.

Him indoors was watching 'A League of Extrodinary Gentlemen' on the box. Whilst I was doing this falling thing, I began to see (with eyes still closed) a white roll of paper start unrolling in front of me with the words of the movie script on it and I was actually reading what they where going to say, BEFORE they where said in the film. I swear by this. It happened.

I totally get the falling upwards thing. My experience with it is that notions of up down and distance go out the window. Trees on distant horizons are as close as your fingernails. My body has melded with my surroundings and often things have gone very 2d. I try not to concentrate on visual effects of entheogens but in the case of Salvia, they are certainly worthy of note!

Whilst my body has been busy melding with a tree or a garden trellis, the core 'me' has been experiencing one-ness. An overwhelming realization that all is indeed one. Not something new to me but an interesting and different way of experiencing it.

With regards to the film thing, yes I'd concur that this kind of thing happens. Time is presented in an altogether different way. You can have a pipe, feel the effect kick in and think you've been 'away' for an eternity. When you get back you find 5 minutes have passed!

This plant, whilst not being quite as immediately revelatory as say psilocybin, certainly offers up some very profound experience to the psychonaut

Yes, I think it does lose potency over time. I have some 30x left too. I've not communed with it for several months (it's not something for everyday ). I may try a little pipe to check for degredation and get back to you.

I should've tried it more back then but a life changing 'event' happened not long after and it was quickly forgotten about.

i had a couple of bowl packs a while back. 1st one didnt do a lot, i think i didnt use enough, and it just made me feel really heavy in my seat and a bit woozy, but it passed after 10 min. so the next day i did it, i had more, ripped it down and then started to be dragged down. i was on a train, going through what seemed like the tunnel in willy wonka, and i ended up at a circus. there was a lot of concentric circles rotating in opposite directions at the circus entrance. i kinda remember some acrobats on a trapeze. and horses.
but again, really heavy feeling of being pressed down.

my friend was afraid he saw infinity, and he had a bad time like he was on fire. he doesnt talk about it because it upsets him, like post traumatic stress or something . now things that repeat or get stuck in loops give him a sort of flash back and freak him out.

Not so good about your mate there bat... it's like everything though, every now and then these things just don't agree with someone and it all goes Pete Tong. The obvious danger being that you just don't know if you're going to be that person when you try a new 'activity'

yes true. but he gets over emotional about things. i almost want to say its a mental weakness, but in the nicest possible way. some people are not cut out for certain things.

This is very akin to what has happened to a few people i know. infinity/void/vacuum whatever you choose to call it. Several have said that there was like a zipper opened and infinity was kind of dragging them into it, some say people that had passed on were asking them to come through. They got scared and resisted. This was I feel, their mistake. I was already familiar with it so was happy to go with it. Perhaps that's why it's never caused me stress.

I find the salvia experience very hard to put into words, far harder than the other 'experiences' I've had.

People often describe salvia as 'feminine'...& I'll go along with that. & she's a harsh mistress if you don't respect her thats for sure. Take salvia with a flippant attitude & you will pay the price.

This stuff has potentially very serious consequences for some. Well in fact all but for some the consequences aren't good. You really should be very comfortable in yourself indeed if you are going down this particular rabbit hole. It is NOT to be underestimated. You can take LSD and shove it where the sun don't shine in comparison.........

yep, diviners sage or something. for communing with the other places, not for a bored day and lulz. thats why i hit it, but now i know better.

I'll also agree that this teacher plant is NOT something to play with! It's serious business and if you don't come from an angle of Respect and Sincerity then it's very likely that you're going to suffer an experience of terror! It's just not something to be done "for kicks".

My experiences have been limited to the plain leaf material. Even though I've never tried the higher potency extracts, I feel I've still gotten to know the experience genuinely and it has almost always been a good experience. Only a few got slightly uncomfortable, but nothing really bad.

One experience was me sitting on the couch waiting for "it" to happen. I'd just smoked a pretty big bowl from a homemade wooden pipe and when She arrived here's what happened: I looked around the room (moving only my eyes) and I thought "This room (this reality) was made just for me, just like this, everything in exactly the place that it's in because it couldn't be any other way." As I sat there, looking straight ahead, it felt like seeing through my eyes was really as if the "Me" (whatever it is that I am beyond the flesh) was looking out through my eyes as though peering into a room. As if everything in the room were just "props" for this "story". It felt like I was looking in on the set of a TV show but that TV show was My Life! It's hard to explain, but I'll try.

You know like a "glory-hole"? Well, my eyes (the sockets) were being used like this, as though the "Me" beyond the flesh just walked up to an indentation into a wall and that indentation was like the back-side of a mask, and the "Me" (Spirit?) leaned in and fitted my/itself into that mold/mask, looking in from the outside into the room I was sitting in (the room symbolizing My Life) and it all had a strange papier mache kinda feel to it, although I was not picking up any kind of visual disturbances. It was pretty intense!!

Another experience was in the same room, sitting on the same couch. I could hear a long, zipper-being-pulled kinda sound. Almost like a sewing machine going but not as loud or fast but definitely zipper-like! It sounded like upholstery or fabric (like boat sails? canvas?) being stretched out, making that zipper sound. As though the room, my field of vision and "Reality" were being manufactured as I experienced it in that moment, My Reality was being stretched out like fabric, across time and Infinity. Like the Universe was a fabric being manufactured anew for each individual in every second of Life. Everything had a real canvassy look and feel to it, maybe because of the curtains in that room, they were cream colored like sheets of canvas.

Anyway, those were two experiences with Lady Salvia that always stood out for me.

@psketti: SD lasts a long time when stored properly. I have some that's about 6 years old and it's still kickin-chicken! The potency does degrade over time but if stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place then it'll keep indefinitely. I've read reports from people that still "get there" on salvia that's 8 years old!! So, you should be good!!

Absolutely classic Salvia experience there phem and very eloquently described.

My very first time was smoking a J of plain leaf. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting much to happen. It's fair to say the entry was far gentler than with a bowl of extract but when it kicked in, blammo! I was sat in a sun lounger which promptly flipped up and elevated me to a vertical position (like being nailed to a wall) from which I could survey the totality of existence. At first everything was breathing in a similar way to say shrooms or LSD but quickly everything kind of de-constructed and showed itself to be a projection of mind. I remember saying "who did that?" like a fool . Then I was presented with reality as a 2d 'film' of interconnected energy patterns that was being built along geometric principles. At which point I remember thinking "ahh here we go". Like yourself it felt as though the real 'me' was peering through the veil into this world and seeing it for what it is.

Good thread this, with some really cool stories.

On a purely ratio basis however, we're shortly going to run out of contributions due to the few members that have tried Salvia... so we'll either have to wait for more members to join and hope they've been there too... or the few in here will have to go and do it all again so the thread stays alive

And I'm only aware of very little about the holographic universe stuff from watching the discovery channel

So, on that basis, any credence I give will be purely from experience only

Be interesting to see where it all goes though. And now phems given me what appears to be good news in regards to my own, then at some point in the not to distant future I may venture there again

Haha, the best kind of credence I'd recommend Michael Talbot's book 'The Holographic Universe' though.
