What are you talking about, what is the point of this thread?
Why do you think the CIA would turn a blind eye to saddam's attacks on the Islamist morons of the Ayatollah's in Iran?

The USA opposes backwards dictatorships, they help liberate countries from brutal oppression, I think your attitude is disgraceful because British and American troops died for Iraqi freedom!

Do you think you have freedom?

The same as yours.

You provided evidence the CIA helped the Iraqis overthrow the Monarchy, that they helped Saddam assassinate the communist shill for stalinist hell hole Soviet Russia Qasim, luckily for the Iraqis.

Then you and your friends brought up the Iran Iraq war, yes, again the US supported the lesser of two evils, basically you have provided evidence the USA has been acting in the interests of a free humanity.

When Saddam went doodah Bush snr went in to teach him a lesson, he failed but Bush jr finished the Job.

Good riddance to bad rubbish America lives on and Bin Laden is fish food.

My point was a request by yourself for evidence that you made by PM.

Why are pretending that you do not know this is the purpose of the thread?

The point of this thread was in answer to a request that you made by PM for evidence that the CIA had helped Saddam to power and supported Osama Bin Laden
Why are pretending that you do not know this is the purpose of the thread when we had discussed creating such a thread?

Do you have any problem with me posting a screen shot of the PM and throwing it up here? (the communication was not of a personal nature)

The USA opposes countries that do not accept the dollar in payment of oil or who try to start their own non-FR banking currencies.
Check your history, check the facts, see the world the way it really is.

If they cared about 'democracy' 'freedom' and all that kind of stuff then why have they not invaded Saudi Arabia yet?
Its so in your face its unbelievable.

It's because the USA has a history of supporting democracy and freedom that they wouldn't arbitrarily invade a country like Saudi Arabia.
The Gulf States trade with the US and keep a lid on much of the Salafist fundamentalism you have mentioned, they are also modernizing and the US and West can use trade and technology as leverage for them to cooperate with us on a financial basis, we have common interests with the Gulf States as the economy and trade between us is quite well developed, so why would the USA want to invade them?

If they started using the money for oil on palaces and weaponry as Saddam did, and started posing a threat to progress in the region, blowing up their own citizens as Assad was, massacring women and children with Russian weapons, then maybe the west would invade, or at least put it to a public vote.

So a story written by one journalist?
Why would it surprise anybody that the CIA had agents in Iraq post the dissolution of the Iraqi monarchy?
Consider this is at the height of the Cold War, post WWII, Pan Arab Nationalism was popular in the region, and also opposed to Qasim's international commie agenda, Saddam was deeply influenced by Nasser in Egypt, far more so than the Western elements who supported Iraqi freedom at various points, but who Saddam's own father in Law fought against in the Anglo-Iraq Wars.

The CIA would have had agents in any country emerging from Monarchism or the Cold War, why does it surprise you?

It would be nice to hear if you have a point with this?

What do you think is unusual about the CIA working with foreign governments?

In Bahrain they machine gunned the last lot who wanted democracy.
We stood by and did nothing.
In Saudi they don't have democracy at all, they have chop chop square in Riyadh.
As for the weapons they use ones we sold them so I guess thats OK cos we got paid some money for it.

So is it okay that I post your PM request specifically asking for evidence of helping Saddam get to power?

Cos it seems like you are still pretending that you don't know why this thread exists even though we talked about starting it.

Or is it not okay?

Yes or no, please. :gum:

Step 1. PM a poster with the view that Islam is the enemy of Mankind
Step 2. When a response is received ask for proof that backs up their points
Step 3. Agree that a thread would be the best venue for such discussion
Step 4. Call the new thread pointless and feign total ignorance of step 1-4.
Step 5.
Step 6.

Interesting view of US history you have there, pity it's almost diametrically opposed to reality

Well there's no shortage of said evidence, but I suspect you're right, it takes a huge amount of cognitive dissonance to believe the history of US intelligence and the defense department "opposes backwards dictatorships" instead of the real history of assassinating democratically elected leaders and replacing them with CIA puppets.
usually using the most brutal and disgusting tactics in the history of the world, like the death and rape squads trained at the CIA's camp of the Americas

So to clarify you have no evidence that the CIA founded Arab Nationalism or Baathist Socialism?

To clarify you have no evidence other than hearsay from proffessional spies that the CIA supported the Saddam Coup against Qasim?

To clarify, why does it surprise you that the US would support Saddam's Iraq against the Iranian Ayatollah's, for all his faultings of which there were many, like Assad he kept a lid on religious tensions, in part due to the regime of terror enforced by his brutal secret police.

Can I post the PM in which you requested evidence for the CIA helping Saddam to power and the discussion about starting this thread?

The same thread that you questioned the point of.
