There was one in the back kitchen earlier on. It was buzzing between the window and the nets. I got a broom and pushed open the window more. The little git was buzzing and bumbling trying to get out :chuckle: Well it eventually did...the window was closed and that was that :D

I feel like posting my favourite Hornet-in-a-glass vid now :chuckle:

If that's the same one I remember that was posted at the "other place" a while back then I've got just one thing to say: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkk!! :O :hide:

I know how you feel. I get slight hayfever too. But to be chased by those things is just the worst thing in the world. I always dread that I'll end up on one of those telly shows where somebody has secretly recorded me screaming like a banshee as soon as a wasp or hornet comes near me :emb:

It's like a major invasion! My mum is the air raid siren "WASP!! WAAAAAAAHHHSP!!"
And then it's battle stations! If I had a red alert button, I'd bang that thing! :chuckle:

Haha, got that right, we have those fukwitbugs awake and angry too! I think those biggest ones are ok, they're not too annoyed of human presence. And i don't mean bumblebees, they're cool. :yup:

There's a couple of hornets out in my garden that keep hovering over the same part like they own the place. I swear I've used a couple of cans of wasp killer to spray the fckrs, but they must be able to read the label or something as I've never been able to target them yet. I'm literally terrified to go out and lie down when they're about :dodge:

Hornets, I fear, are like Rasputin - impossible to kill. Believe it or not, they are also a protected species, so technically we're not meant to be killing them anyway! (But I don't blame anyone for trying, especially in self-defence, as hornet stings can be dangerous!).

(I'm not frightened of bees, though - bees are our friends! ).

Really? They are a protected species? Wow....I really didn't know that. I think someone from above is certainly protecting them from me anyway, that's for sure :D :chuckle:

I used to be scared of bees too, but they don't bother me just as much. I think what scares me about them is the buzzing noise

Out of all of "God's little creatures", hornets certainly seem more able than many to protect themselves! But someone somewhere decided they needed legislation! :D

Yea, it's hornets I meant... Those never give me any attention, I can go watch them buzz about and do their thing and they don't even notice me at all. Bees on the other hand have a special hate for me, they almost always follow me around and try and sting me... I hate when that happens.

But hornets are just cool. Haha, probably the most evil looking bugs i know. yea, and they're the most heavy metal of them all. After seeing the video in which about 30 hornets destroy a huge beehive.. that video would just need Cannibal Corpse song as a soundtrack.

Weather is still nice in here, +20, sky should be blue... Otherwise nice, no chemtrails either, BUT, what the heck is the thing which makes "clear" sky turn grey? I'd like to know.

I'd like to know that too, hex. It was almost as if someone just 'turned on' summer today over here. After about a month of grey and misery.

Sounds familiar... Last month was terrible here, cold, damp, grey... Then suddenly summer arrives out from nowhere.
