Just reading my son's school report. English is his most hated subject, and I don't think it helped at all that he was labelled 'dyslexic', which I don't believe he was. I think the school I moved him from just weren't very good at teaching. He did alright when I spent time helping him at home.

"Progress and effort: He has made great progress in with his writing. However, Alex's main stumbling block is his handwriting, which is still needs to be quicker. He should to have an option to type his work if he is to fully achieve his potential in high school."

When I was ickle you started out with a pencil and didn't move on to pen until both writing and spelling had got to a decent level. And it's was all fields around here back then.
