Well I'd expect oil and filter change as an absolute minimum and thats worth prolly £70 even being generous.
For 300 I'd expect front and rear brake pads/shoes and adjustment, air, oil and fuel filters and spark plugs/heater plugs, possibly fan belt (alternator belt) and a full valet.

Last time they never even bothered to top up the screen wash.

Now, you might think that teaching a bunch of thick kids, who only got into college to bash their heads against other thick kids, get as much pussy as they possibly can, and beat up the clever kids, to play a game called ‘football’ that you don’t play with your feet, would be a voluntary position. You’d be very wrong indeed.

There are starving people all over the world, but someone’s getting paid $3,000,000 per year to be the commissioner of a college football league. It is unfucking believeable. Still, I suppose someone paid me to find that out.

I'd expect an average of 2-3 hours labour for a cambelt although there are some cars you can do it on in 20 or 30 minutes and there's some cars (like the one I have lol) that can take a whole day to do the job as the engine has to come out from underneath and on this 4wd toyota its a real bastard of a job.

I'd stick with what I quoted as being shall we say an upper average.

Did they itemize what you got on the bill Gilly? You're entitled to at least know what they charged for parts and check that they actually fitted them.
