Do you drink the exotic tea's and specialty coffee, or a name brand more expensive one,or do you buy what's cheap and off brand,plus what are some of the types you drink?

I love ice tea, but I can't remember the last time I had a hot cup of tea,been thinking about doing the green tea some say it's really healthy.
A cup of coffee is a tonic of wonder for me,and if I had to choose I would go with Folgers or Maxwell house.

I only ever drink filter coffee, never instant. For some reason instant coffee brings me out in hives.

The only coffee I like is the real ground stuff, can't stand instant.
I prefer tea mostly and thats nearly always Tetleys :p

I am a confirmed tea-drinker - I don't like coffee. My favourite brand of tea is probably Tetley's, although I happily drink what I'm given. I don't like it too strong - I make it weak, and then add a splash of soya milk and a pinch of Stevia.

I also like Earl Grey tea - provided it has proper oil of bergamot in it and not artificial flavouring, which is really bleuurggh! As far as herbal tea goes, I like nettle, Vata and Rooibos best. I don't like green tea - it's too sharp for me!

I'm meh about coffee but I'm a right tea-jenny.
I use Scottish Blend tea not for any dozy nationalist nonsense but because it's blended specifically to suit our softer water*.

*(Lower levels of magnesium, calcium, etc).

Sometimes I drink tea - usually Tetley's, and sometimes lemon & ginger.

Sometimes I drink coffee.

I believe the general standard of instant coffees has gone down in recent years. Once upon a time, Kenco and Dou Egberts were good, but (unless my taste buds have altered) now they're not.

If I'm drinking to savour the flavour, I like filtered, and grind the beans myself. I like to try different varieties of beans, though I tend to select ones that are neither weak nor over-poweringly strong. I've had a percolator which worked well for a few weeks then started leaking & stuff.

Then I had one of those Italian style espresso machines which used Nescafe pods. I gave that away because I wasn't impressed with the flavour or the tiny cups. Now I use a proper filter with a stainless-steel thermal jug rather than a hot-plate. It's the bees knees.

But usually I just use instant which I find more thirst-quenching.

I don't tend to drink either, though sometimes I do like a bit of Nettle tea, or some of that Rooibos stuff.

I am more of a tea drinker but sometimes I have a cup of coffee. Some of my favs are Lipton, Special Gunpowder green tea, Oolong, Jasmine green, Korean corn tea, Cerasse, Sassafras, Sorrel and Cat's Paw. During the warm weather months, I like to keep a pitcher of iced green tea with some ginger and lemon in it that I brew myself.

For the past few weeks I've been having a cup of coffee in the morning (or afternoon...whenever I rise out of my pit). Kenco Rich, instant. It's pretty nice. I suspect it's not a patch on proper ground coffee though. D'you know I've never tried real coffee One day

As far as tea is concerned, I like a nice cup of Yorkshire, or if my mum is feeling extra extravagant she'll buy a box of Yorkshire Gold, that's lovely stuff IMO.
I drink White Tea as well, it's kind of like Green Tea but a bit milder and more gentle. It's made from buds and young leaves. Green Tea is a bit sharp for me like Mandy said and also it tends to upset my stomach a bit, so I prefer white.
Nettle tea, I drink a cup or three of that. I'm used to the taste now although it doesn't quite do it for me as a morning wake me up. It's an aquired taste. Tbh it seems more like a soup it has a thickness to it, kind of like you can tell it's packed with vitamins and all good stuff

If you are looking for green tea, try and find 'Gunpowder Green Tea' This is sold loose so a strainer is required to brew. Also be careful not to burn it by using boiling water, the water should be about 70c otherwise it will turn bitter.

Then try a spoonful of Manuka honey in it... Great for health and immune boosting.

Stay away from any kind of pre-packaged latte/espresso coffees... and never use coffemate... Use single or double cream instead...

Lately, I've been trying to cut down on coffee so I've been having steamed milk with either a couple of Lipton's tea bags or Irish Breakfast tea with a lil sugar.

Does anyone remember Mantuna tea bags? They came in a blue box. My step nan always used to buy them. I finished many a video game on Mantuna tea

Coca de mate , my mate brought me some home from Peru once.

My favourite is just an infusion of a handful of fresh mint and hot-water, sometimes with fresh ginger.

Not keen on coffee. Although we have a local coffe shop that's run by a properly trained barista, his coffee is the best in town.

K-Bone, I've tried Gunpowder with mint before its nice, but again if the water is too hot it can make the mint taste somewhat chemically so I guess the temperature has to go lower... Also, a lot of the loose gunpowder seems to be too dry (especially the Japan versions).
I stopped drinking tea with sugar and milk about two years ago now and just stick to echinacea with honey or any form of green tea. I also try to look for the non-bleached tea bags so use the mesh type or simple brown ones. Clipper do a really nice 'organic' green tea which is much richer than most I have tried.

What I do find strange is those fruit infused teas... They say they are freeze dried but on inspection they are filled with white powder... So I guess this is synthesized flavored sugar.
