Mum tried to decorate it last year and it took HOURS.

When I help Dad it takes about ONE HOUR.

Poor Mum, the whole physical-mental thing is eluding and always has been. She would not let me up on the ladder.

Pride. :(

Folks say it's because she's in her 60's,; I say she's always been this way, but try to fight common opinion with a nation full of boomers and see how far you get.

My tree also has every colour of the rainbow, and decorations made by the kids. It looks a right mess after being up for a few days, what with the kids robbing chocolate off it, and the dogs trying to swing off the (wire) branches. The real trees look best, but I think Toby would pee against it if I got one, so bugger that for a lark!

When I lived with my parents, we had a little fat, bald fairy on top of the tree for ever, that looked like Phil Collins.

I like it. Looks fun to climb.

Would you like that in your front garden?

It's just not pretty imo, Hugo. Minimalistic - minimal effort, minimal aesthetic value. Just wrong! It's upsetting me. Take it away!!! :D

It looks like an oncoming case of vertigo to climb! Come Saturday morning, there'll be all manner of people who thought it would be fun to climb whilst under the influence of alcohol the previous night, stranded on various limbs, :chuckle:

I'll admit that it does look like the work of tripping scaffolders but I do like the cat face at the top of the building on the left.
Not sure if it's part of the overall 'look' or not.
