If those who wanted any type of anarchy had to pay for those actions, there would possibly never be any more wars, the Amish fight not but work their way through and around problems without money, we could all do the same if we turned our own labours into currency, with your own name upon it.

Not seen this film before, but many others, I know a guy who teaches these fellas to make their own shoes and boots, they leave a barrow at the road end and he has to take all of his hand tools down the valley and leave his truck out of the boundry.

These are a very kind people who cherish new skills or bring in skills after someone dies out, if they called for me I would go tomorrow and never leave, my kind of lifestyle in many ways we are now.

I cannot watch the links yet because our snail speed internet won't allow, but I have heard about the beard trimming.

It's not a film it's TV show on the Discovery Channel.

The Amish sell great food and products, they come down from Lancaster Pennsylvania to our local Farmers Market.

The meanings that are the most directly practical are the ones that are sacrificed: the flavor, aroma and touch are abolished to the profit of the delusions that permanently lead sight and hearing astray.

The true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how high he rises in this freak establishment. The true measure of a man is this: how quickly he can respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give - Philip K. Dick.

We can't get Discovery, no sky or Tv here in our house.

I have seen some of their products, another freind of ours uses their horse collars for his plough horses, I have slsomade some of their wooden wheel barrows from drawings I was given, best design I have ever seen.
Many of the best made items came from the era 1850's, a time warp many of their items today mirror, built to last a hundred years.

Their hand to eye coordination is in the trim and on the return, demand for anything high quality has increased in the last ten years, while the modern ways drive things the opposite way.

Our food is very much Amish, hand made.

This is why many are finding those with such skills, looking in through such windows.
