That's one thing I never got about serial-killers who brick their victims up in their homes or under the floors. They must have no sense of smell whatsoever, let alone all the creepy-crawlies that accompany a dead body.

I mean...aside from anything else, it's just un-hygienic.

I have had head lice twice in my life and it is enough to convince me.
A head louse cannot survive away from the scalp for very long (10 days?) and with all the chemicals now you think they'd be wiped out. They need to be on a human head at almost all times.
Plus, those fuckers can breathe underwater.

Even when my kids each caught head lice at school, and infestations broke out at my own school when I was little & Nitty Nora the Bug Explorer came visiting, I've never had them. It's 'cause my hair strands are too fine for their eggs to grip on to, apparently.That, and the birds nesting in my hair would eat them anyway.
