I went into this at length back when it surfaced. I agree, the thing that stood out for me was that the first speech contained an admission that the banking system is knowingly handling 'terrorist' funds.
As usual, I managed to muster um....zero support for a collective calling of plod.

LB is an old sop. I think he was just the victim of a dupe, however what he said about the banking system still remains valid. As has since beeen shown in court cases that have inevitably seen no heads roll and a few fines.

Yes, Iirc one of LB's roles was in the confiscation of funds...
So yes, in a way you could say his job was to take the odd bit of 'tax' from terrorists for the government and no doubt stick the odd needle in when it was politically expedient.
