Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (pronounced "sah-win").

I actually thought he was dead for some years before I clocked people yapping about him on something called 'strictly'. I gather it has nothing to do with punishment and he isn't dressed as a school ma'am or nanny. Unfortunately.
