Progressivism 87.5
Socialism 62.5
Tenderness 53.125

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate pragmatist with few strong convictions.
Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

So far each of us has the comment ' It appears that you are skeptical towards religion'

p.s what do the scores actually mean? Is there a pass or fail or if I get less than 100% on each area, will you think less of me?

Progressivism 82.5
Socialism 93.75
Tenderness 65.625

Your test scores indicate that you are a tender-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are tolerant towards religion, and have a compassionate and sympathetic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a cultural marxist.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate realist with an established worldview.

This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

Nothing to worry about if like me you've already sent emails to the CIA ... well, to be completely honest, I sent emails to the Whitehouse, the Vatican and a bunch of other places that may have me already on a watched listing, especially if you include the one to the Israeli government. :D

Yeah its not really of much use or insight into what sort of person you are.
Al lot of us probably have a low bullshit tolerance hence no time for religion or authority in general.

The political compass test is far better and even thats not as accurate as I'd like :)

The first page was enough to put me off doing the rest of it Dawney! :)
However my curiosity was piqued, so I have had a look at page 2. I might have a go at it later...but 2 go's as if I'm in a very 'radical' mood (read angry) it will have a very different result to when I am 'centred'.....actually...might do it 3 times and do it if I'm pissed too....that should be a laugh and confuse any 'data collectors' as to what they are dealing with when it comes to me! :chuckle:

I think you have to do it with a pinch of salt. The foreign aid question was one I couldn't easily give a 'yes' or 'no' answer for, the question is a bit more complex than that, there are a layer of assumptions underpinning that which I would suggest are largely incorrect. You're never going to have a perfect way of testing people's values, but I think this one probably does work out quite well.

Correct, we could for example send foreign aid in the form of physical help and direct food resources or water etc instead of monetary aid.
I left my answer in the middle too because of that.

Yeah, its stupid because some of the most right wingnut people around are religious freaks.
/points at the american religious right
/points at hardline jihadists

IMHO the less religious you are the more liberal you will tend to be so they have their wires crossed there for sure.

Again there's a lot more to religion than a simple yes/no answer too. There are religious people such as Mikey who are obviously liberal but they actually go for what Jesus actually preached rather than what the church and religious 'media' might establish as the viewpoint.
The same can be said of certain moderate muslims too.

Generally speaking though IMHO followers of religion will also follow authority- eg Romans XIII.

Its ironic to think that Jesus himself ticks a lot of anarchist boxes, yet the church supports the state :D

Ahh but remember Matthew was a former tax collector andy.
Jesus might have used him to hide all his offshore and hedge fund investment shenanigans.

He may have gone walkabout in shabby chic but had a wardrobe back at his crib that would shame Emelda Marcos.

Thats the American media definition Dawn, which shows just how effective they are at destroying the English language.

The dictionary definition of liberal is generous, forgiving, tolerant and of noble birth and education...
Antonyms for liberal are closed minded, bigoted, fascist, ignorant, intolerant, racist etc.

The media have done a good number on you, which was the intent all along. Get people to reject the very word 'liberal'.

Another word that they have tried to destroy is anarchy and another one is terrorism which the dictionary has defined as a form of governance through terror...think about that one ;)

I have a very informative video about this that explains it al very well. See below.
Only 15 mins or so and its very eye opening.

Bear in mind what is explained about 'fallacies'.

There you go, a perfect way of testing peoples values, the only thing that matters is whether you are willing to use force to inflict your ideas on other people.

Agreed. If the questions are worded correctly there is no need for a sliding scale. You either believe there is a God or you don't. Any grey area is the result of being human ;)
