The party animal in me was long before any of the above conversation took place.

'S why I can't wait to have the parathyroid whipped out - I'm done in by 7.30pm, like an elderly codger, and hence not the right person to get together with for some fun & dance-floor-flailing type activities at the minute.

I had a dream within a dream t'other day. I was asleep, and dreaming that I was at work, but was so tired that I fell asleep and was dreaming about being on holiday at Shell Island. Then I became aware that I was asleep, and started willing myself to wake up because I thought I was at work. It took me ages to make myself wake up, which is odd in itself, coz it's usually hard to stay asleep when you realise it.

For a moment, I was awake at my desk, looking round to see if anyone had noticed. Thought I'd better just do some work, but I've 2 computer screens, and they both had messages floating about on them saying, "You're not really here". Then I woke up properly and was on my sofa.

Good thing you enjoyed yourself, Skett, since there was nobody else around to enjoy.

I'll be better able to gad about for a while soon though, as my fixed term contract finishes 31st Dec, and I'll have some free time between jobs.

That's OK...we can do 'rain cheque'....just keep in mind I have pencilled it in my diary for next year, and I will hold you to it!
