Coco, thank you for that fond trip down memory lane
I take it you haven't met Bob yet, or his brother Bob, or Brother Bob's brother Bob either? They have a habit of rolling down the road in a broken truck (practically doing it Flintstones style) with a single shotgun hanging in the back window that they all have to share.
A spur is an object on the heel of your boot that can have either (American/Cowboy/Western) a round thing that rolls around with spikes on it used to make horses listen better with you on their back OR (English/Jumping) with a solid pointing thing on it just to urge them on... although I think you already knew that, but that's for those that are looking at your post going "WTF?!"
A spur in the road... or a road spur... depending on who you're talking to can either be a short road (short dirt road, short pavement road) that breaks off and goes the other way from a big road (freeway, long dirt road, etc...) or a short road that breaks away from the interstate connecting the loop or something like that...

(there is absolutely no reason for me to know this other than I drove back down there 7 years ago and had spent a previous 9 years there and was forced to swallow the states lingo and had formed an accent)
And small piece(s) of advice: if you want drugs, go to the Bush family farm there; don't try the rattle snake even if they swear it's dead and cooked properly; don't order a "well done" steak unless you want it black through the entire thing, not just the outside; don't order a rare steak unless you want it still bleeding like it was freshly cut off the cow; do not trust the cowboy wearing his wranglers down around his ass and his hat sideways (he's from California trying to fit in).
And just to keep the thread on topic and make Phem drool and miss his backwards home state
