The bible actually says that if you pray and follow the Abrahamic gods rules you can get bears to attack children and kill them if the children have annoyed you.

So do i scrub that bit because it doesn't fit into the new age Christian belief system? do i edit the bible till i find the bits that suite my view of Christianity.

Admittedly the bible was not created by Jesus but as far as i am aware the old testament is the Hebrew bible the Tanakh.

I gather Jesus was a follower of Judaism and tried to fulfill the Jewish messianic prophecies.
