There is no lesser of two evils they are both equally evil and will bring about exactly the same results regardless.

The answer is not to vote for these Muppets period - it's just a scam to help people feel as though they have had some input. The reality is the man in the street has zero input while they continue to play the game.

I'm not sure how it happens, omni, but somewhere within the structure of every government, there is a hidden hierarchy that dictates what actually goes on. I'm not meaning to sound defeatist at all, because I'm genuinely not. But, until our governments are more transparent and work the way they are supposed to, there is little point encouraging the fuckers by voting, imo. Candidates may very well start out well-meaning enough, but you really only have to look at who has been elected over the years to see that these people - the people you are voting for - actually have very little to do with the running of your country, and have not had for a very long time.

We're still allowed to write in our choice are we not Omnisense? Why don't we write in who we want in the presidency...along with a "kiss my ass douchbag" comment left under the choices we are presented with.

Sorry, but they're all playing on the same side...greedy, self righteous behavior coupled with seeing just how far they can push the general public before they have to declare martial law.

It is easy to say that voting is pointless and then sit back and judge those that vote. It is true enough that voting has not shown to do much good either.

I think apathy and cynicism are big problems too though. The issue is of course complex. There is no simple solution but I don't think we will get anywhere unless we get involved. Not just by voting, you can sit that out of course but you need to have an alternative.

I think most people can agree that the system is fucked up. No president is ever going to be perfect. I don't think you can go into that job and just do stuff. It is not that easy. You have to vote in senators and representatives that want change too.

Run for a local position and get involved perhaps.

I saw obama was trying to get money out of politics which can't be bad. Romney I think would be a much worse "evil" although I don't buy that evil shit.
