I can see your point on one hand...yeah they often do whatever they want.
But i still think they need excuses sometimes especially when they want to take drastic measures like they have in Australia.
Here in Australia they have used Global Warming as a reason to take a lot of water from farmers, which will possibly kill off entire towns... and triple water bills in the cities. Part of tripling the water bills was building expensive coal powered electricity sucking desalination plants in all the coastal cities here (taxpayers money going to multinational corporations) . "Because we need them...there will be less water in the future" were the reasons given etc etc ....The desalination plants arent even needed as there is plenty of water around. The coastal cities are high rainfall areas typically, and there are vast amounts of surface waters and ground waters in Australia. over 90 percent of austraiias 22 million population live in these coastal cities...inland australia has the lowest population density of any continent on the planet except for antarctica.
Back to the farmer thing, i see it as corporations (working with their puppet politicians) just shaking farmers out, and/or moving food production to their massive corporate operations in China and India, where they use peasant labour. Taking irrigation water under the pretext of "global warming" is a great way to get rid of food producers.
Living in Oz, ive been listening to this crap being pushed intensely by the puppets (politicians) for 7 or 8 years now and been watching the drama unfold...and now we have a real life carbon tax here. Its reality. Those who will ultimately benefit include the banks NM Rothschild and Goldman Sachs. Our former water minister Malcolm Turnbull was head of Goldman Sachs Australia before going into politics. He enters politics and becomes an "irrigation expert" talking about how we dont have enough water, talking about drip line on television, and drafts federal water plans for The Crown. Part of that plan was of course for the commonwealth to take water from farmers. The initial number they pushed was 4000 gigalitres per year or 4000 million million litres.
Doesnt take a freaking genious to figure out what they are all up to when you watch them for a while. Water and food are commodities that the corporations now want to control and make vast profits from. They need to shake out the little guys first. I believe they need or at least prefer to have "global warming" and "climate change" to justify some of their actions.
I dont think they were so interested in controlling ALL facets of food production 20 years ago and back...the tech wasnt even there in some cases for corporations to do large scale enterprises, for example harvesters and processing equipment. Heck the governments were encouraging people to move to certain places 15 years ago, and i know what im talking about...the largest centre pivot food producers in the southern hemisphere are all around me and they were encouraged and given water licenses for free in the 90's when they were smaller operations, and made a lot of money in those days for a while..(now they cant turn a profit)

I personally have a water licence of 100 million litres that i can pull out of an aquifer PER YEAR...i only use half of it...in my little area alone there is 10 000 million litres of drinking quality groundwater that can be extracted per year (deemed sustainable as it replenishes each year) well 5000 MILLION litres of this water was unused last year...because of poor crop prices and no one bothering to grow food with it. (again due to corporations paying farmers peanuts then selling the same foods at large profits) Yet if we want to sell this water for drinking like coca cola does..its illegal...so it keeps buliding up underground.
Dont even get me started on Lake Argyle and the Ord Scheme...The Great Artesian basin and more north queensland water courses in high rainfall areas...Australia has shitloads of water. Yet they used "global warming" to tighten everything up, and the corporations benefit. They have the politicians working for them.
I know a bore driller who has drilled over 200 bores (wells) in my greater area alone, 5-600 feet deep. Most of his work now is from government / water authority contracts. Its part of the Commonwealths "50 million dollar groundwater research project" ...again initiated by guess who, former Goldman Sachs boss Turnbull. Well i say these fuckers just want to figure out where the water comes from , because at the moment they havent a clue, and the shit keeps replenishing all the time. And if they can figure it out they likely want to control it and restrict it also, and use global warming as a reason to push that H2O is a rare commodity. The groundwater... well they cant get to it and are somewhat working blind (hence the well drilling to figure it out) , but if they figure out where it comes from (likey surface water that seeps underground) then they can do something about that. Perhaps they never will, just like they keep fucking up in Afghanistan.

well a popular piece of propaganda the TV media has taken a liking to, is showing people scooping up water with buckets everytime a water main bursts, and trying to store it in barrels and their bins and so on.
People see this, and they copy it like parrots. So now everytime a water main bursts and a few thousand litres of water spill, there are people who run outside, sometimes in their night clothes and slippers lmao, and scoop it up with buckets and talk about how much of a waste it is.
The media laps that shit up. Its become standard fare now whenever a burst water main in a city makes the TV. It fits in nicely with the water for profit agendas and global warming.
Meanwhile i can dump 50 thousand or 50 million litres onto the ground to amuse myself a little further out, and no one bats an eyelid...yet if i try bottle and sell that water for consumption i get prosecuted.

Rain and storms continue to affect QLD and NSW today after some of the heaviest November rain in more than a decade fell last night.
A slow moving trough over eastern Australia is being fed by winds drawing moisture off the Coral Sea, causing widespread rain and thunderstorms.
Heavy rain produced by this trough soaked northeast NSW and southeast QLD last night, bringing more than 100mm of rain to some places.
The heaviest falls were recorded at Dunollie and Mundubbera in QLD, where 118mm fell in the rain gauge. Further inland, Isisford collected 52mm, which is one and a half times their monthly average. Kingaroy Airport saw 67mm, making it the heaviest rain during November for 11 years.
Northeast NSW also saw heavy rain, with falls of up to 76mm at Lismore. Casino managed 72mm including 61mm in one hour, making it the heaviest November rain in at least 18 years.
