Me step daughter looked into veg oil at length and came to the conclusion that it's a very bad thint in deed. She now consumes none of it at all, in anything. All her food is triple vetted to vouch it veg oil free.
I could do with looking into it tbh. I'm stupid about it, have nowt to go on.

Dont think our bodies cope well with these oils...its not something mankind has been consuming for long...and so many things are just fried in it these days and no one things anything of it. As well as the fact it is added to many pre-prepared foods and meals of course.

And dont get me started on how palm oil can often be labelled as veg oil...palm oil - theres heart attacks waitin to happen right there.

Totally with both of you on that veg oil. All I know is that unless oil is labelled 'extra virgin' then it wasn't mechanically processed. And if it wasn't extracted in a big metal spinning drum then for sure it was extracted using solvents, ie hexane and others. And yeah, like you both say, it's bad shit and it finds it's way into all sorts.

Frying doesn't really work so well with olive oil, so I just try my best to avoid frying. I guess at least if you know something is a toxin you can minimise or eradicate it completely from your diet.

Anyways, veg oil was the only topic there that failed in terms of msm defending it. Looks like it really has no friends at all.
Mind you, considering veg oil ends up in baby formula, I guess the good scientists that praise formula could count....

Breast feeding is difficult for a lot of women.

Coconut oil is the best to cook with. I'm not down with animal lard, so I'll stick with the plant stuff for now.

A word for anyone who is thinking of ditching veg oil. its in many many many many many things. me step daughter now eats next to no factory made food as a result.
