OK, medical check makes sense if that is true. If you have epilepsy or any condition where you might hit the deck, lose conciousness and stop moving aroung pigs - little fuckers will eat you!

Drugs test, who knows? You might collapse with the pigs.

CRB check - you might be a pig fucker. :dunno:

If someone's CRB check reveals that they did something relatively trivial a long time back, do you take it as a reason to terminate someone's contract?

The reason I ask - and the reason I dislike CRB checks, except in particular circumstances - is that I read some stuff a while back, and also heard folk talking about it on a radio show, whereby people were being binned because they'd got caught shop-lifting or had a fist fight 20+ years earlier when they were youngsters. I find it deplorable that this kind of thing can be used against people forever and stop them getting a job.

I can understand why anyone would want to know an applicant wasn't a convicted bank robber if if the job's in a bank, and or a paedophile if working in a school, but what crime could they commit that would make them likely to be unsuitable to work on a pig farm? Pig rustling? :conf:

Haven't they changed the laws on the CRB checks now?

Have they? In what way?

Also, Ent, could you clarify this "...also give permission to contact DRs for access to medical records..."? Has that changed very recently? I've had employers who've made you sign agreement for them to send you for a medical check-up which they'd naturally get a GP's report on, but can you now demand access to historical records?

Pig Farmers are not to be messed with .
:secret:
Pigs will bring the next pandemic on mankind, hence the massive restrictions on employment.
Drugs
We dont want herdsmen fucking the pigs while on some type of trip, which results in a new disease being transmitted.
:secret:
CRBs
We need the correct personnel, no kiddie fiddlers as they are on a slippery slope to bestiality.
:secret:
DRs full cooperation is required as again we dont want fruit loops employed with the pigs as it could lead to slack working practises around the pigs, then disease again.
:secret:
We also can get access to unemployment records as the work is of such a sensitive nature, that we need to be able to check a verifiable work history

OK, it doesn't sound unreasonable for the circumstances I suppose if you put it like that.

Out of curiosity, do you mean DWP or Inland Revenue confirm applicants' entire work histories to you?

I'd be stuffed then - I get bored or angry with employers' antics so regularly that I doubt I could recall all my work history if my life depended on it. I'd make a good pig farmer though. :chuckle:

You must be in possession of super-human powers if you're serious about confiscating anything from Sketts. Is your name Reed Richards? :O

If they want to work for me they sign a random drugs test policy, must have a current CRB police check, also give permission to contact DRs for access to medical records, plus the usual refs etc.

If they dont like it they can fuck off, its an employers market and plenty of men/women who want the work. :coffee:

Drug Test = Stick to stuff like charlie that's out the system quick or newer designer drugs the tests don't find.
CRB = You haven't been caught
Medical Records = telling doctors your bad habits means they just fob you off regarding medical problems at the best of times., so wise people keep schtum anyway.
References = either "they're genuinely great" or perhaps "thank God we're getting rid of that muppet...yeah they're great and stuff"

Attempts at control always create cracks and no matter how much control people think they have, behind their back the piss is being taken....
This is coming from somebody who seems clueless about how many ex servicemen and women are homeless..Priceless

I don't recall making any comment whatsoever about how many ex-servicemen are homeless. I do recall commenting that the homeless people I've met personally have tended not to be. It's a very simple distinction between the overall level of homelessness among ex-service people and the background of homeless people I've personally met in one particular place. Furthermore, I fail to see how the level of homelessness among ex-service people is relevant to anything. Your comment is as inconsequential as saying.

"This is coming from somebody who seems clueless about the suicide rate among over 65s"

And you claim you're some sort of employer? Capitalism must be in big trouble. I knew reducing education to an employment preparation factory would backfire.

Well actually its rather strange that you have not met any ex service people who are homeless as all studies tend to agree that there are at a minimum of at least 10 percent ex servicemen homeless!!!
Correct you said it " Ive personally met in one particular place " but your qualified to make the distinction on the level of danger BETWEEN the UK homeless and African homeless :killinme:
Secondly how many African countries have you been to , so that you can comment on, and compare the perils of being homeless in the UK/African cities.
I left school at the first opportunity thank fuck, 30plus countries by the time I was 19 and you ? :killinme:
Total countries IVE been to out way the amounts of shags you have had :coffee:

I haven't been to any African countries. Nor do I recall commenting on the experience of African homeless people. Indeed, I think the experience of homeless African people is irrelevant to the experience of homeless British people. It matters not one jot to somebody sleeping on the streets of northern England in January what some homeless guy in Namibia or wherever is doing does it? Just as it doesn't matter to them how some Inuit's Walrus hunt is going. Pretty obvious when you think about it isn't it?

Studies may well indicate that 10% of service people are homeless. But does it therefore follow that 10% of all homeless people I've personally encountered will be service people. There are fairly obvious questions you could ask yourself regarding this. I'll leave you to work it out for yourself.

I'm curious as to why you hold the amount of countries you've been to as some kind of indicator of something profound. Could you explain whatever significance you think it holds. I mean, I daresay the queen has visited easily as many countries as you have. And this would mean what exactly?
It's like I've been to loads of countries me.... Er and?
I left school at the first opportunity thank fuck

Really? I'd never have guessed.

Fuck me let me guess some 30 something uni grad wrecked out of his nut for 5 yrs who gets all his experience from books :killinme:

Of course its relevant you fool of the inherent dangers of homeless people, the safety nets they have in the west ie you handing out your bowls of soup  compared to the dangers and poverty of the African homeless .
Hmm as they say travel broadens the horizons seems in your case travelling from Leeds to Bradfurd is it !!!

As for educutun  when I was at school only very few stayed on to the 6th form, the swots. Now for the last 25yrs every fuckers at uni :pmsl: Drugging it up, pissing it up, then wondering why they cant get jobs stacking shelves at Tescos :killinme:
