Dulce et decorum est, pro patria mori

To attempt an understanding without knowiing the whole's mortal enemies, it is to attempt seeing Truth without first knowing Falsehood. It is the attempt to see the Light without knowing Darkness. It cannot be if those promoting it do not take part in it.

There is a far esier way to start the ball rolling, and that is to reinstate the right and title of the female, to choose if their blood and bone will have to die before they do in useless wars, take away our childerick from the devils in many disguises and the agressions cannot take place.

That is only one way, there are many others, that is called walking away from this current reality, if we stoppped asking what we can do, and acted against the cancer within, in a peaceful manner the prizes could be ours.

That poem is nearly 100 years old.

We read his poems during history class in school. Unsurprisingly it was the start of my anti-war mentality.

Poetry should also be heard for its "music"

The guy who read this reminds us

Rudyard Kipling was a war campaigner. He pulled strings get his son John into the Irish Guard, even though he was under age. John was killed at the Battle of Loos. Kipling was stricken with grief and he had a complete change of heart. After the war he wrote,

I've half a mind to turn this into an anti-war song thread.

We had to read '1914 to 1918 in Poetry' in English. That had Owen's war poems in, among many others, and was laughs aplenty.
