Why doesn't he like Common Purpose?
I was under the impression he thinks there is a international Marxist conspiracy operating through the government, the EU, Social Services, The Courts and so on to overthrow British Legal Rights?
If he's not a NeoCon it's only in the sense his (perceived)enemy is not abroad but in his own country;)
I haven't watched any of his lectures or talks. I don't see how his political views come into it. Either what he's saying has merit, or it doesn't. Either Common Purpose are a sinister organisation with huge ulterior motives, or they're not. I don't see how political leanings are of any relevance.
I think that's quite a strange and superficial stance to hold, how do you judge whether what somebody says has merit?
Confirmation bias?
One reason political views come into it is that Common Purpose have political motives, that Brian Gerrish disagrees with, his work with the British Constitution Group is Politically Motivated, so how you come to the conclusion politics has nothing to do with it I don't know

I have a crazy system. I listen to what someone says, and if I find that it has merit, I agree with it, and if I don't think it has merit, then I disagree with it. Whether they're a fascist / anarchist / Marxist / Socialist or any other 'ist' doesn't come into it. "I don't believe in isms, I just believe in me".

I haven't listened to anything than Brian Gerrish has said, but even I know that he doesn't disagree with Common Purpose ideologically, he has had direct dealings with the organisation and believes that it has sinister, ulterior motives. It doesn't matter to me personally whether or not this is the case, because I have long since abandoned any faith that any government department or program would have anything other than sinister or ulterior motives. I just have as little to do with them as possible. I have to pay my Council Tax otherwise they'll kick my door down. Beyond that, I don't have any dealings with government at any level because nothing good ever comes of it.

I was quite intrigued by your left vs right stance, by your definition you believe in a mix of corporate and government control of the economy?
Could you explain how that would look and function, would this mean perpetual conflict between corporate and government interests?

in 2011:
Economic Left/Right: -6.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.15
2013:
Economic Left/Right: -8.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.03

A reasonable trajectory, this trajectory encompasses my departure from CT and my first readings of Marxism.

The laugh of it is that result plonks you firmly in the libertarian socialist bracket which would have you not far off the likes of oi or myself.
More detailed questioning would ofc lead to more accurate results. Looks like you have become slightly more libertarian and slightly more left wing.

As for the mix of corporate and govt control of the economy...no I don't believe in that at all :)
Thats what we have now, albeit very weak govt control and much stronger corporate control, hence all EU political parties moving towards the right. Over time the historic graphs show them as being much more disparate with quite a few on the left.
In Ireland for example only Sinn Fein are on the left, the rest are all for pretty much the economic paradigm we see today.
Sinn Fein however are still very much authoritarian.
I just see corporations growing in power and lobbying for what they want, govt is run by upper middle class plants, they serve the money masters not the people.

What I 'believe' in basically boils down to distributism and extreme direct democracy (even more so than in Switzerland for example).
So its tending towards the venus project.

I also admire anarcho-syndicalism , something similar to mondragon but with much less focus on manufacturing and 100% 1 man 1 vote sharing. Mondragon have departed somewhat from the ideal and are thus not 'perfect' .

I admire the idea of people getting an equal share for their labour, no matter their line of work. I simply want a better life for everyone on the planet, much much more freedom and equality and common sense than we see today.
It is of course quite possible, the planet is stuffed to the gunnels with resources and energy that sits there unused because its not economically feasible to make use of it under the current paradigm because a few must benefit at the expense of everyone else.
We have destroyed millions of lives to balance digits on bankers computer screens, we have trashed the planet to ensure that certain corporations and their business remains profitable, we have stood idly by and watched women and kids abused in the name of religion.

As far as I am concerned this madness is over. I can no longer approve of this stuff called 'money' no matter what form it comes in.
There are ofc better forms of money than we use now and better ways of making use of it but we will always come back to the situation we are in now. It is inevitable because psychos gravitate to authority.

Innovation and science and art and spirituality all progress when the population is at its most free, when it is not chemically dumbed down, when people are not afraid of looking stupid by asking certain questions, when the establishment no longer gaol (or execute them) for doing what is right.

Good intelligent people do not feel threatened by immigrants and the unemployed, instead they empathise with them and everyone else and the condition they are in and see that it is artificially created and imposed by rulers pulling the strings for their own petty interest.
Thats not 'CT' its just plain old common sense. Even the word 'CT' comes bundled with the usual MSM establishment crap attached.
You are laughed at now for questioning anything. Obedient workers, obedient slaves, this is all they want.

Andyh, don't your results show, being dead centre on the economic scale, that you believe in equal Corporate and equal Government/Public control of the economy?

No because its at the extreme end of the libertarian scale.
There is no govt at that end of the spectrum, only the people.
So what you're looking at with a centrist is syndicalism.

Anarcho-syndicalism is the libertarian opposite of national syndicalism as per the nazis.
At one end you have a community of people working for their own interests at the other end of the scale you have a pile of jackbooted goosestepping racist morons who burn books, execute people at whim, have eternal warfare and total and utter control of every aspect of the economy in the hands of a 'party' elite governing through fear and of course the initial carrot of more money and 100% employment.

This just seems like you misinterpreting the meaning of words, or political compass tests to suit your ideal, like you do with the interpretation of Liberalism.
The usual understanding of anarchism as a left wing ideology does not take into account the neo-liberal "anarchism" championed by the likes of Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman and America's Libertarian Party, which couples social Darwinian right-wing economics with liberal positions on most social issues. Often their libertarian impulses stop short of opposition to strong law and order positions, and are more economic in substance (ie no taxes) so they are not as extremely libertarian as they are extremely right wing. On the other hand, the classical libertarian collectivism of anarcho-syndicalism ( libertarian socialism) belongs in the bottom left hand corner.
You are a petit bourgeois Anarchist, half way between a social and financial economic view, ie modernist Liberalism, but I already knew that before any talk of internet tests arrived here.
And if anyone thinks that's somehow unkind or uncalled for it's not an assumption or misinformed preconception like this:
Go for it, try the test.
You'll end up in the top left corner guaranteed.

You could have just picked some libertarian answers to the questions that you would have given authoritarian answers to...as you have proven to have done on this very forum ;)

I at least have the exact same result as I did all those years ago on DIF.

Modernist liberalism is precisely what the govt view is today, that is what 'liberalism' is defined as today.
You vote for dictators who let the rich get richer.

All I've done is taken advantage of the ability I have to make my life better by utilizing the loopholes these dictators have left that are intended solely for themselves.

We all fucking know who they are.

Fuck the apologists

We see the cunts for what they are and they have plagued us for generations.

And the do not like scrutiny at all..

Thy cannot be compromised with because they hate you and I. They think it is beneath them to even consider the position of those they deem "weaker".

They have only three ways of viewing others: patrons (temporary superioirs), competitors, and underlings.

We have our compensation: we can make friendships, love, care and take joy in the happiness of others.

Theirs is only ennui, short bursts of thrill and shaudenfrued.

Pity them and avoid them.

Because for them, nothing can be done.
