After years of denials, the Central Intelligence Agency has revealed that it did keep a file on Noam Chomsky, an eminent American linguist and anti-war academic, in the 1970s.

And the folks who say that he is false/controlled opposition and/or "a gatekeeper", they almost always seem to end up revealing themselves as fucking wingnuts or NaNs

I don't know why they bothered denying it. We know for a fact that they spied on the Beach Boys, Liberace, Marilyn Monroe and John Lennon, it seems pretty obvious that they would have a file on Chomsky.
