My biggest problem with many conspiracy sites at the moment is the blatant right wing and racist bent that alot of them seem to have. Both Rense and Makow are prime examples of this. Hell Rense even has a direct link to David Duke on his site!!!
As for Alex Jones, any respect that I ever had for the man has long since died. Its seems less like a quest for truth for him nowadays and more a business when he manufactures fear to maintain his fanbase and sell them crap like that bloody orange juice we see on every advert. Also the amount of right wing propaganda he spouts is incredible, he will turn the phone off on any caller that dares to espuse any left wing or progressive ideas thus destroying his own arguements about free speech.
The time of the conspiracy "personality" is over. Citizen journalism is the future. We are all the future.
