It was the first thing that sprang to mind, Abs, and it's seriously worrying.

I caught Paddy Ashdown of all people on the radio yesterday saying how the 'no' vote has made him feel embarassed to be British. Although I don't watch it, people I've been chatting too agree they're really ramping up the hype on this one on the old lie box.

I'm not sure if it's because we lack imagination or because our sensibilities are considered a little more delicate, but we can pull off a 'terror' attack as well as the next man, usually much more low-key than that famous demolition job in the US. Regardless, we have no problem slaughtering our own as well as anyone else who stands in the way in the name of PR.

Those that are able seem to be pressing the anti-immigrant angle quite strong lately too. It's been brewing for a while but as the infamous jingle goes..."every little helps".
