Probably THE greatest TV show ever made, in my opinion. (Along with Aqua Teen Hunger Force!) :aargh:

Enjoy!!

I agree.

I used to tape the show (yes its getting old now) and watch each episode over and over as they were released, i couldnt catch everything the first time.

This is their last emmy acceptance...note the comment about government and gangsters...i know there was pressure on David Chase to ultimately can the show on both sides, and pressure to portray 'consequence TV' in the end (consequence TV = bad guys must always go down, "good guys" win. Good guys being cops who work for the elite ofc, the biggest gangsters of all :chuckle: )

Thanks novum, that's a great clip! And I often find that I catch things after further viewings that I didn't earlier on. It's such a great multi-dimensional/layered show! It's a real shame that it had to end so soon!! I didn't even get into the show until 2007. I never had HBO so I wasn't in on the awesome action but now I own the whole series on DVD and believe me I've made up for lost time!!

I live 1 hour south of where The Sopranos was filmed and 1 hour North of where The Wire was filmed.

Both of these HBO TV shows accurately described part's of this region of the east coast.

The opening theme music and visuals, defines the mood and atmosphere of the place better than any other opening to a show I ever seen.
