Last week I learned about Ghost Radar for iPhone. I don't have an iPhone but my coworker does.
She was kind enough to DL the free version just to see what the thing would do. At first it chatters a lot but then settles down.
Since there was nothing going on in the office, she let me walk around with it.
I reached the end of the hall and saw a red dot right next me - red means strong energy presence and the radar indicated its position.
I called out to her saying I think there's someone here and the radar spoke 'several'. There were a number of green dots in my vicinity - green is not as strong an energy as red.
I walked on into the sales office and approached the only person there, a man. The radar showed a red dot near me and the damn thing said the man's name. I never spoke, the salesman never spoke, so the radar was not repeating us.
The salesman asked me what was wrong as I stopped in my tracks and must have had a surprised expression. I explained the Ghost Radar to him. He explained that while he believed in spirits, the GR is just a silly app. The GR then said 'accurate'. What someone disagreeing with him?
Then there was a red dot near me again, in addition to a few green dots nearby and GR said 'stairs'.
Stairs?!
I said to the man what the heck it mean by stairs? He reminded me about the attic door above me, you pull it down and a ladder becomes available.
I walked towards the door to go outside and GR said 'interior'. Did it wish for me to remain inside?
The radar fell flat once outside and when returning inside the building, the green dots came back around me.
It then said 'east' - hah! Whatever Ghost Radar, whatever.
I returned the phone to my co worker and thanked her for letting me play with it, then a customer came in. He was a pretty nice guy and mentioned that we girls must have to deal with some mean customers sometimes. I said nah, the folks in this area are pretty easy compared to the ones back East where I come from.
Yikes!
We turned GR on later in the day and a lady from a back office came to visit us and chat as she needed a break. GR said 'precious'. We laughed at GR's silly, random word generation. (I'm still not sure about the thing)
Later, the lady said she realized that her late father often used the word precious.
Is it the real deal? I don't know, but there are plenty of comments at Spud Pickles' site. I kinda wish I had an iPhone to play more with GR but my co worker says she has the lowest plan available with unlimited texting and still pays almost $100/month. That cured me of wanting one.
Since then I DL'd xParanormal Detector for PC (free version). Meh, not impressed, but others claim they have had numerous hits.
