This isn't really a ghost story, but it definitely gave me chills.
I was working in a critical care unit and there was a minister that was a pt. I can't really remember what was wrong with him but I do remember him saying that we better get his family because he would be "going home soon". In the course of the next hour, he was made a DNR.
I promise you, after that man died, he had a GLOW coming from his face and a smile that was so sweet.....I have never seen anything like it. Nurses from all over the unit came to see this man's face and everyone that saw it, cried. To this day, I get tears in my eyes thinking of it. I can not think of any other word to describe it but "heavenly".

You better not be talking about me there Oz because I wasn't anywhere near it. Plus, it was still there when I clicked on it... except it had gone a grey colour instead of white. :hmm:

Let's see if it will permit me to successfully post. The other day it gave me some invalid user ID message when I tried to post then the thread vanish.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the gang for resurrecting this thread.

xParanormal Detector (XPD) was a bit chattier than usual last night. Someone was taking inventory of my bedroom.

It was particularly chatty when my father was in the kitchen doing things. My bedroom is adjacent the kitchen.

It said relative things like dish, bowl, (Dad was probably making a snack) but sometimes said arbitrary things such as tongue, insulation, chard, fence.

And btw, when I was posting in Andy's thread earlier today, it said Andrew. I kid you not.

I'm not sure about XPD's validity, but it does spook me out sometimes. A co worker told her girlfriend about it and she DL'd it. She believes there are spirits residing in her old home.

She had a better experience with it than I have. She reported as she was opening her e mail program it said a name and she saw she a mailing from a person with that name.

When she was discussing her sister, who is a crack addict, it said scarecrow, a fitting physical description for the crack addicts I have seen.

She said the energies were quite responsive and clearly benign though they would not tell her their names. She thought it fun and confirming (to her) that spirits dwelled in her home.

There were other exchanges during the few days she had XPD, mainly comments about things in the house, that they were near, mundane stuff.

Her husband could stand no more of XPD and told her to remove it as he felt it was inviting demons. As she set to uninstall it, the energies indicated they did not want her to delete it as they were given a voice but she deleted it for her husband's peace of mind.

I'm not sure of it's validity either, but most recently, it called me "easy".

I like the radar thingy on it too.

I might say it was just a random generator, but it can literally go for hours without a squeek, then there will be the odd one word, which you can usually relate to something around you if you think hard enough, or a flurry of activity with radar blips and words.

It's entertaining, if nothing else.

A few years back one of our cats was acting all odd.

She wasn't really a people cat so it was odd for her to come for cuddles etc.

She spent the entire day sitting on someone and putting her face right in his face and meowing at him.

If he got up to move rooms she rolled on the floor in front of him and grabbed his trousers with her paws

She spent alot of the day sitting on his head like a hat!

We all thought the cat must be unwell and arranged a vets appointment.

The person she was fussing over died that night. I'm convinced now that somehow the cat (Sally) could see this coming, maybe not spooky spooky but weird
