I think I'm in danger of giving up on 50 Shades of Grey!

I thought it was OK for the first half of the book, but now I'm 100 pages from the end I'm getting really fed up with it! The sex isn't actually that sexy, there's no plot to speak of, no character development, and the two main protagonists only seem to talk via email! They do nothing other than have sex! There are no other characters to speak of, and no sub-plots. I'm now longing for the hero & heroine to be abducted by aliens or terrorists or for an aeroplane to land on their heads, or something! Anything!

I've just bought "Butterfly Swords", by Jeannie Lin, a novel set in Tang dynasty China and I think I'll read that instead!

Its set in 90's London, and is the story of a small-time villain who thinks he's big.

Finished the new Dark Tower book at the weekend. 30 pages of Roland and chums at the beginning and the rest is Roland telling stories from his past. Being a sucker for anything that touches the Dark Tower story I enjoyed it but I would only recommend it to anyone that has read the DT books. I'll give it 8 billybumblers out of 10.

Just about to read Snuff by Terry Pratchett.

Just finished reading Insomnia by Stephen King. Top book, one of his best IMO. Slowly running out of stuff to read - can't do another charidee shop book hunt 'til the end of the month - so it's time to re-read from the bookcase.
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle is looking the likely candidate.
