G'day Oioioi.

After all of the violence perpetuated against peaceful protesters, I am amazed that people haven't realised that defending themselves against such violence is ACTUALLY legal. This whole standing by chanting, "This is a peaceful protest", hasn't stopped fellow protesters from being beaten and unlawfully arrested.

Here's something I came across after the 'Don't taze me bro' incident ...

SUPREME COURT RULINGS:

"An illegal arrest is an assault & battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery"
State v Robinson 145 ME 77, 72 ATL 260

"Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer's life if necessary."
Plummer v State 136 Ind 306

Defending yourself, or others, from being assaulted IS NOT unlawful .... IT IS a basic right.

No war will be won by chanting slogans. If people don't think that they are in a war they are unobservant. Look at the military style uniform that police in ALL countries are wearing. Look at the military style tactics that the police in ALL countries are using. The jackboot doesn't stop because of chanting.

It isn't loving to be a punching bag for someone else, no matter who they are. Submissively accepting such violence perpetrated against yourself, or others, is basically condoning it.

Why not arrest the police when they assault anyone ?

After all, there is such a thing as a citizens arrest.

Defending yours and others individual rights IS NOT what The Hierarchy Enslaving You (T.H.E.Y.) want you to do. T.H.E.Y. want you to be submissive, to 'roll over' without a fight.

While I agree with living in peace together, I realise that it will not be achieved by 'peaceful protesting'. When people are willing to defend themselves against the violence then I'll give them a hand in doing so. While ever they are willing to be 'punching bags' then I'll leave them to their beating.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Shame on our military.

Shame on our police services.

Shame on our governments.

Shame on us.
What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.

G'day Ab Origine.

Yes, it is "Shame on us". We've all, at one point/time or another, have or have not supported something to our mutual detriment. Shit, I used to eat McDonalds and drink Coca-cola. It's what we support NOW that matters though. Ultimately, it is what we support that will be co-created. It is EVERY individuals thoughts, actions, words, that culminates together into what is co-created. Our thoughts, actions, words, are the 'ingredients' we each add to the totality ... these 'ingredients' are our responsibility ... response-ability.

Each of us has the ability to respond to Life (in all of its myriad forms). Either our response will be mutually beneficial, or mutually detrimental. The choice is ours ... we have the power to re-create our experience. I choose to Be optimistic, so I am supporting the idea that it will be mutually beneficial.

I BELIEVE

YOU HAVE THE POWER TO BE,
WHO YOU CHOOSE TO BE,
YOUR VISION YOU WILL ACHIEVE,
IN YOU I BELIEVE.

FROM INSIDE COMES CLARITY,
YOURSELF YOU CAN SEE,
I KNOW YOU'RE NOT NAIVE,
IN YOU I BELIEVE.

IT'S YOUR LOVE YOU DEMONSTRATE,
WHEN YOURSELF YOU CREATE,
YOUR DESTINY TO ACHIEVE,
IN YOU I BELIEVE.

YOURSELF IN CREATION

THE FUTURE COMES UP SO FAST,
BECAUSE WE HOLD ONTO THE PAST,
WHEN YOU LET GO YOU ALLOW,
YOURSELF TO LIVE IN THE NOW,
AND EXPERIENCE A NEW DIMENSION,
OF YOURSELF IN CREATION.

WHEN YOU GIVE IT YOUR EVERYTHING,
IT'S ONE HUNDRED PERCENT YOU'RE COMMITTING,
AMAZING THINGS WILL START TO ARRIVE,
WHEN YOU ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY YOU ARE ALIVE,
AND YOU'LL EXPERIENCE THE SENSATION,
OF YOURSELF IN CREATION.

IT'S A DECISION TO CHOOSE,
WHETHER WE NEED TO WIN OR LOSE,
AND IT'S TIME TO DECLARE,
THAT WE CAN ALL SHARE,
AND YOU'LL LOVE THE DESTINATION,
OF YOURSELF IN CREATION.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

G'day Sue668.

Thanks for posting those video clips.

That was almost 30 years ago now and you can go back even further (to the 50's for instance) to see that police brutality is a common occurrence. In other words, what we are seeing today with the 'police state' is nothing new, it has been part of the societal structure for a LONG time because it part of the infrastructure of the system of control.
