Great idea. A good trailer will make even a shitty movie look great but a bad trailer can make even the most amazing cinema look shit.

Thanks i-baster. In fact one of my favourite critins the internet (The Amazing Atheist aka Distressed Watcher) has a whole series called Trailer Failure that lambasts trailers but sometimes, despite himself, winds up being a positive review...of a trailer.

It's actually more fun than it sounds.

You mean the youtube guy? I know of him. My wife is a bit of a youtuber. She is actually a partner but yet to get cut a check because she has not had enough people click i guess. but yeah she has watched his videos before although she was going to correct him on something he said about Columbine once. My wife is very well read on that.

Well my wife`s channel started out as a "beauty" channel and then she did some more personal stuff and then kind of wanted to change her channel and make it more about issues but lately she has kind of lost interest. Maybe I will make her a thread,

This trailer does not really do the movie justice. It is a good film and when you watch play spot the director and spot the nirvana bass player.

I love Tolkein and I love the Lord of the Rings movies. I am especially enthusiastic about this latest movie because of the cast.

I enjoyed the LOTR films - although I read the books as a teenager and must confess to finding them a bit of a slog at times, especially the first half of the first book. I'm looking forward to seeing The Hobbit - I was given some cinema vouchers for Christmas last year and haven't used them yet, so OH and I may well save them to see that. My OH is a real Tolkien fan, and has re-read the books many, many times!
