I like Derren because he tells you how it all works and how easy it is to manipulate people. That last series he did was superb in respect to how people react on a large scale. Some very insightful stuff came out of it. Plus, the pleasure he gets from making other people happy, isn't put on. He genuinely likes to do that and it shows

He also had a very clear dig at the judicial system and how it uses similiar tactics to him in one of these episodes and points out how wrong it is when questioning people under duress.

If you didn't watch it, look it up. There where only three or four programs. Worth a watch

He really turned me off when he did that one about spiritualists. I have known a few really nice, genuinely gifted people, but instead he plumped to follow a complete fraud around and make a whole program out of him.
