The below clip shows the difference between 2 types of training. What type do you do? Ive been doing martial arts on and off for a number of years now. Once I started to get involved in the reality based self defence systems it seemed less restrictive. Below is self defence with a knife.
In jujitsu we would just take it in turns to attack till eventually you did it automatically. Once I started to train with the RBS whole new way.

fight dirty, thats all i got to say. you have good reflex accuracy and speed you win a fight. nobody dances around for 2 minutes like street fighter 2. its 5 to 10 long seconds and done.

I've had dealings with some rather scary bare knuckle types and one of them - a shithead cockney gangster - had over a hundred 'fights' to his name, the longest of which lasted about 30 seconds.

Can't remember the last time I had a 'proper' fight but I'm still partial to the odd playfight with this lot and when I do, there are no rules from my corner. I'm dirty as fuck and will do anything to come out tops. And I mean anything.

The thing I discovered about fighting is that it bloody destroys your hands. Getting hit rarely hurt but lumping some jabronie on the chin hurts like hell. Don't do it kids!
These days I use a stout stick to dispense thrashings. ;)

I've found a good swishy key ring with loads of keys and other spikey metal objects on is a good weapon if aimed at the eyes. And a sturdy brolly can be good if used in stabbing mode, rather than hitting. :)
